Stop making your movies in the freezer my friend, try going in doors, Hard Drive cameras are only good for proper temp filming, that is why most proper cameramen still stick to 8mm tapes.

Aw, this is very rare. Both digital and analog connection no sound? First, make sure with analog connecting cable working, must be the original JVC A/V cable and 2nd, when connecting to PC, use the software provided (CyberLink) for playing and editing videos. Good Luck

You can your go manufactor website and download the software from there server. Do a model search at the website and it should bring back software.

Go on download.com and download a free movie maker software. Its not easy but not impossible. Google it to, prolly a video on how to do it on youtube

I have lost the software disc for my jvc everio

connect vcam to pc via usb cable: then copy thru windows explorer

on pc bottom left: click START>>then click My Computer; win explorer opens
on the right portion you'll see>> Hard Disk Drives, etc.;
then >>Devices with Removable Storage- the location where most probably you'll find your >>hdd vcam- w/some ID- brand?
Double click on it, locate your video/picture files and copy/paste to >> my Documents/my videos (my pictures?) located above Hard Disk Drives.

Import the desired video files to video editing software

I connect my camcorder to the TV with regular RCA plugs (yellow, white, red). The camera RCA plug-in holes are in a separate compartment. I can see what I am recording on the TV if the camera power switch is pushed over to "camera". I do my recording. Rewind. Then I have to push the power switch to "off" then over to "VCR" , and push "play" on the camera in order to see the play back on the TV screen. See if your power switch has several positions. I hope this info. is helpful.

.MOV is a QuickTime file

Tools: You need Rad Video Tools (freeware) to encode mov files made by Quicktime 4.0 / 5.0!

Install Quicktime and Rad Video Tools.

Launch Rad Video Tools

1. Select the Quick Time File you want to encode
2. Click on "Convert a file"

1. Select under "Output type..." the type "Avi-File" and click on browse to select the output dir/file
2. Hit Convert.

1. Now RAD Video Tools aks you for the compression format. I prefer Pic Video MJPEG Codec with quality 20 because it take not much webspace and have good quality, but you can of course use another.

Now you have the AVI File and you can encode it to VCD or SVCD
Problems:

No audio in the AVI File:
Some Quick Time Movies have audio copy protection. A solution for it to download the application Total Recorder 3.0+. After starting this application you must press the recording button and start your Quick Time Movie. Total Recorder will only record the sound that come from the Quick Time Movie. After recording, you have to save it as wav and multiplex it for example with TMPGEnc.
