try claening it with a soap and water cloth. then allow it to completely air dry. Then recalibrate it from the tools button of your GPS

The touchscreen needs to be replaced. Please see this link which explains why this happens:

Yes, go into the settings where the map icon is and set the detail to "MOST"... somehow your unit got changed to "NORMAL" or even lower detail. You may have to use the up or down arrows to find "MOST".

Sounds like the battery is discharged. It will probably have to be connected via USB cable to your computer overnight before it will be able to be charged by your car adapter again.

with the garmin off, hold down the right bottom of the screen and turn the garmin on, it will then ask you if you want to perform a hard reset. Choose yes and that should fix your problem.

If you update what? Maps and/or firmware? No, if you do it correctly.

there's not much you can do if the screen is not responding.
the solution is to replace the touchscreen preferably at a specialized center.

There's a voice prompt option and a restore option.
Try restoring the original settings.

Try making surte the battery is fully charged by AC charger, do not rely on DC plug to fully charge the unit. Also depending on age use and abuse ( starting car while connected to DC) replace the battery and you should be on your way again

I have a similar issue, it does not even power on even connected to ac adapter.

I think you have to send it back to Garmin. Liam

Select "Where to", then "Address" then press "Spell State". Type in the state that you want, then the city name, house number and street name.
