Show charging symbols

Your question was posted under the Nuvi 680 GPS, so I am assuming this is the model that you have.On the main screen, you will see a green battery status indicator in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The battery is divided into 4 parts. Each part represents 1/4 power. So if you have one green bar, that indicates that the battery has 1/4 of power left. If there are 3 bars, that indicates that there is 3/4 power left. When the unit is charging, you will see a yellow lightning bolt appear over the green battery status icon. When the lightning bolt is not there, this means the unit is running off of the battery. When leaving the unit to charge, press and hold the power button until you see that the screen says Charging Battery. A few seconds later, the screen will go blank to save energy.Pressing the screen again later will either say Charging Battery or Battery Charge Complete.

Garmin Nuvi 680 GPS Receiver no satellite signal

Hello,The connection to the antenna is most likely broken. This is one of the main issues with the flip up antenna on the nuvi 6xx models. The unit could be sent to a repair depot, but would most likely cost more to fix than what it is worth considering the price of a new GPS in today's market.

When I turn my Garmin

Hello,

Try performing a soft reset.
Disconnect the unit from any external power supply.
Depress the reset button behind the flip up antenna.
Reconnect the unit to the power supply and let it should work normally.

If the soft reset does not work, try performing a hard reset.
Caution: Performing a hard reset will erase all user information including favorites and bookmarks and restore the unit back to factory settings. Be sure to save any information before performing the hard reset.
With the unit off, press and hold the lower right hand corner of the screen while turning the power on until a pop-up appears. Press "Yes" to restore the unit back to factory settings.

Don't have a manual. Charging in electrical

Most garmin nuvi satnavs take 4 hours to charge with a mains charger or a car charger. It takes 8 hours with a computer. There's a batter indicator on the screen that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP. It will probably only appear when the charger is disconnected if it's the same as other garmin nuvis.

You can get the manual in Adobe Reader format from http://static.garmincdn.com/pumac/nuvi680_OwnersManual.pdf

Try giving the unit a hard reset, this is done by turning it off > place your thumb in the bottom right corner of the screen > turn the unit on keeping your thumb in the bottom right corner > let the unit power up unitll the message " Are you sure you want to erase all user data appears" > select yes.
This may fix your problem but you will lose all your favorite and info so only o this as a last resort.
