LG 22" FLATRON LCD Monitor - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Mr Pateman
This is more likely an issue with you video card than your monitor, do all the monitors you have tested operate at the same resolution and refresh rate? It sounds like the LG monitor is running at a higher resolution and refresh rate which is causing addition load to be placed on your video card causing it to crash
I have a lg flat screen monitor, the words are blurred
Is it just the fonts that are blurry, or everything? If fonts only,
then this almost certainly suggests that running the ClearType tuner
again would solve the problem. But this applies to all displays, so if
one is good and the other is not, then this isn't it.If
everything is a little blurry, then this suggests one of two problems
-- the first, you report trying, which is that the display adapter is
set to a different resolution than the native resolution of the LCD
monitor itself. Your display adapter should probably be able to drive 2
monitors (the built-in laptop monitor and the external monitor) at
once. You should be able to set their resolutions separately.Assuming
Windows XP: Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings > at
which point, you should see two monitors listed in a dropdown. Set them
to their native resolutions there (using the slider bar, usually all
the way to the right), and save.If you do have the display
resolutions set to their native resolutions for both monitors, then
it's possible that your external monitor is messed up. A quick test
would be to run the on-screen settings, usually from a button on the
monitor itself. If what is displayed there is sharp and what is
displayed from Windows is not, then this points to a problem with the
display driver. If everything, even the on-screen display is blurry,
then perhaps the monitor settings are messed up -- usually there's an
option to restore to factory settings -- try that.

What's going on is either a misconfiguration on your video card, your monitor settings or a cabling/connector issue. A signal is being sent to the monitor it doesn't understand. You're going to have to play with settings and if you're using an adapter in your connectors, that could be the problem too.
Wont power off
Most likely a defective power switch, this could be dangerous because it could be a fire hazard. If you need to use it be sure to unplug monitor anytime you leave your desk but the switch or other offending part should be replace or repaired as soon as possible.

The problem is in the inverter board, the most common problem is bad capacitors, inverter transformers, or back light issues. The power supply and inverter share the same board, attempts can be made to repair or replace the board, if a professional gets involved you are further ahead in buying new.
I have pink color horizontal lines on my LG LCD monitor screen,How do i solve it?
You can fix you have to follow this instruction
1-Reset the TV by unplugging its power cord for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. This is an essential troubleshooting tool as a simple reset often will resolve the great majority of technical issues experienced by any kind of TV. Power the TV on after plugging it back in and check the picture for any improvement.
2-Unscrew the coaxial cable that attaches your wall cable outlet to either the coaxial cable input on the plasma TV or to any digital cable converters you may use at home. Check the copper needle in the middle of the cable for any bending or damage and screw the cable back on the coaxial input. Again, check the picture for any improvements.
3-Secure the audio/video connection cables that attach the source device you are trying to watch to the plasma TV. This is a particularly important step if you use component cables. Component cables separate a video signal into different colors, so a damaged or loose component cable can lead to noticeable discoloration on the screen. Once the cables are secure, both in the source device and the plasma TV, check the picture again to see if this may have resolved the issue.
4-Scan your channel lineup and check the other TVs in your home to determine the scope of the problem. If you see the discoloration only on one or a few channels, and the same channels are discolored on the other TVs in your home, you may be part of a cable service outage and you will need to report the issue to your cable provider. If all the channels on the one TV have the same discoloration, and the other TVs in the home look normal, the plasma TV likely will need to be serviced for a problem with its picture components.
hope that it helped
My LG 22" flatron is with a G4 silver PowerMac and
this is common on all systems with monitors.here is a fact for you,not all PC/mac, etc, support all video modes.nor do the monitors.I boycott apple but it really is not any different that PC,infact becomes more like one every day..(history)the PC solution is to go into safe mode.on the back of all my LCDs is a post it note, statingthe sweat spot. for horz x vertical, and refreshthe manual off all LCD states this sweet spot.my sticker says 1920x1080 x 60 hz.all monitors use 60hz refresh so start there.do no use my above resolution, USE YOURS.there you go , now all you need to do is find MAC safe mode.and set the resolution back. to normal.and can be very hard to do, when the screen is blank.!!the monitor does not set the reso, the system does.the monitor is telling you the system is sending ILLEGALsignals. that is a fact.im sure someone that used apple-sauce will answer. or google it. (this will work, 100% sure)
Monitor is dark
plug it in.reset all plugs on both end.the turn on the power, Button.if still dead?, time for a new one.but you never stated the LCD power lamp state.on or off.if on and dark that means the PC is not on.or there is no video from PC, or the PC video cable is bad or unplugged.so , plug your monitor into some other PC, still dead.?
