Goldstar DH2510A Dehumidifier - Page 6 Questions & Answers
I have a Goldstar dehumidifier
I assume the dehumidifier was working fine at some point at this is a new development.
First cause could be insufficient air flow through the unit. Make sure it is not backed up too close to a wall or drapes, etc. It needs sufficient airspace around it to be able to flow the correct amount of air through itself.
Also related to airflow, your model has a filter on the top rear of the unit; check it for clogging. It ll cause the same condition, insufficient airflow, if it is clogged.
Second, make sure you are not using it in too cold of an environment; You should not be using the dehumidifier in a room that is reaching temperatures of 70F +/- a degree or so. If you keep your temperature in the low 70s and must use the dehumidifier, try putting it on a dresser/etc to get it away from the cooler temperatures on the ground.
Last possible cause is a slightly undercharged unit will frost up as well. If the system is older and has developed a leak, as the refrigerant level decreases it will begin frosting up the coils and eventually fails to work normally. At this point your unit would require professional service as they contain toxic gases and require special equipment to discharge/charge/leaktest.

Will not run at all
Did you empty the water pan? If it is empty, maybe you didn't put it back in place exactly right, and the cutoff switch is not activated.

Dh305y6 won't start
Nothing on display? Remove panels and get to circuit board. Look for loose solder connection on the fuse, etc. Resolder any bad connections. Then turn it on. Let me know.

Settings
As an example, if you want the Humidity % factor to be 50%, 70% or whatever % you want in the space in question to be, set it at whatever % you want the space to be and the humidifier will work until it reaches that setting. It will then shut down until it determines that the humidity has reached a level that requires dehumidifying again. You can set it to run for 2 hours and it then it will shut down for 2 hours, or you can set it to run for 4 hours and then it will shut down for 4 hours. You just have to decide just how humid the area is that you are dealing with.
Go to;
www.shopping.com and search for Goldstar Dehumidifiers and you can read comments by others who have purchased this brand. I, myself have one in my celler that has been running for over two years and it has made a world of differance down there.
Good luck. :)

Challenge ram 710 manual
Hello
I would like to buy a dehumidifier "Challenge" ram 710. Is there a possibility to connect a little pipe, so it can be runned for 24 hrs, without having to care if the tank is full or not?
Thank you for all your answers!
Daniel
