Here's my problem: I recently bought as in today a PNY Optima 16 GB SDHC Card for my DXG-566V camcorder. When I inserted the card into it's SD card slot (which I assure you I did correctly), and powered up the camcorder, the camcorder didn't recognize the SD card, as it was still running off of the camcorder memory! Now I know the camcorder is just fine becuase after that I inserted my PNY 8 GB SDHC Card and the camcorder recgonized the card.
Please help me out here!

look at ARCSOFT software, they are the supplier of the software editor for this camera

if you have the proper ARC SOFT software it will work fine.

You need as SD card.

It only comes with 32 MB of memeory.  That almost useless.    Get 2 0r 4 GB SD card.

If you can clean the corrosion off down to the metal, you will be ok. Spray some electrical contact cleaner on them to flush off all the chemicals, and wipe them dry with a soft cloth. You may have to use some fine grit emery cloth to get all the corrosion and oxidation off the terminals. Then reclean them good. Corroded and oxidized battery terminals are the number one problem with digital cameras, since they use such a low voltage, and it's extremely critical to keep the contacts clean and perfectly conductive.
