Hello, it's time to seek Professional service. That error means that the Hard Drive may be defective. If you have videos that you want saved on the hard drive, they MAY be able to be retrieved in the hands of a Professional. Of course, the opposite is also true - you may not be able to recover anything. Won't know that, until the unit is on the bench. We can help:

The touch screen has stoped

The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon connector between the LCD and the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

The touch screen has stoped responding to touch

I have the same problem. Without the LCD working, I cannot retrieve the data from HDD to my computer. I believe that it is a serious design flaw. Fixing the camcoder will cost $300, not really worthy. Does any idea how to retrieve data even Touch screen does not function?

What is the docking station for?

a usb cable will work... the docking stations are handy as you just put the camera/camcorder into the docking station ... no extra cord... often has the charger built in as well

Our touch screen LCD is viewable, but we can't

This problem usually caused by a damaged or defective flexible ribbon connector between the LCD and the camera body and can be repaired. If you are not aware on how to replace the Flexi ribbon i suggest to bring the Cam to a qualified service technician.

Best way to convert m2ts video format to mov format?
