FAN RUNS ALL THE TIME. COMP RUNS FOR 3 MINS THEN

You could be overcharged or undercharged with refrigerant, a dirty condenser or evaporator coil or fan or blower motor not running at full speed, or you could have a dirty filter or or possibly a bad capacitor on the compressor.

Won't shut off

Your unit may be designed to run the fan continuously despite the fact that the room has reached the set humidity level. This design feature is intended to keep the air moving which helps mildew problems in both the room and on the surfaces of the dehumidifier itself. Check your manuel.

DH504EL Unit runs but does not collect water

Demumidifiers are small air comdition units with heaters. Without the change of temp they won't work. Units are often neglected and get pluged up so clean and test the air flow. The filter slowes the air speed down for the process to work properly. Finally the units run better if balanced but slightly tipped twards the drip side. You may need a bigger unit the compresser should cycle (it needs to turn off once in a while)

I need to know how to attach a hose to the

There should be a spot on the water tank, that is threaded to fit a hose, but is blocked by a piece of plastic. You must remove the plastic "plug", the connect a hose to it. Also there is a "special" part that could be used. This part can be found at http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/search/modelinfo.php?modelsID=117164, and I am sure other places also. I hope this helps

None of the control buttons work.

the only company, if the parts were available at all, that would have them, would be dey distributing in duluth mn, phone 218-723-1626. give them the part number and they'll look it up for you. All of my available sources tell me the part is no longer available, so you may have to replace the unit if dey can't help you. try purchasing a kenmore, they seem to work fairly well.

Dh305y6 keeps shutting of within minutes

sounds like you need to replace your humidistat control. this is just like a thermostat on an air conditioning system, except inside of sensing temp and turning off, it senses humidity and turns off.

Solenoid is not opening for water to ice maker

The only thing that controls the water valve on the IM side is the IM itself. If you can power up the water valve manually and it works fine then you need to take a look at the IM If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

Dehumidifier throws off hot air

Yes! A dehumidifier is an entire AC system in one box. First the air passes thru a very cold coil causing moisture in the air to condense and run away. Then the air is re-heated thru a hot coil (the other half of the AC) and blown back into the room. The net result MUST be a net increase in temperature because of the heat added by the mechanical process.

GHD30 dehumidifier completely dead

If any machine is completely electrically dead it is a sign that there is no electrical voltage getting through to operate it. Using an electric meter it is a relatively easy task to find the point of differential voltages which would indicate where the open circuit is located. The blue green fluid found is from copper oxide and is not necessarily indicative of a refrigerant leak. Oil present would be an indicator of a refrigerant leak.

Compressor runs, overheats and shuts down..fan does not run...

I have had the same problem. Following the advice of someone on these pages I opened the machine up and checked the fan with a meter. On my model (the 404) it has two settings so two leads; one seemed okay, the other was dead. I checked the circuit where the fan connector plugs in and I got that both speed settings were supplying plenty of juice. Apparently the fan motor is dead. A replacement runs $79 at http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/. I ordered one; we'll see what happens.
