NO ICE OR WATER

Whenever the water lingers inside the freezer, it freezes. If the valve has a slow leak, or the final outlet tube is scratched, ice can build up and eventually block entry. A hair drier on the area where water enters the freezer might clear up the problem. I'm not sure that's a prescribed method to melt the ice though. Defrosting the freezer could thaw it out, but where do you put the frozen items?

Too cold

Refrigerators and freezers have a thermostat control inside the refrigerator compartment. It is normally some type of dial with numbers and a graphic indicating warmer or colder.Place a thermometer inside the cold box. Wait one hour and record the temperature. Adjust the thermostat one or two numbers warmer, then wait 12 hours and record the temperature. The interior temperature for a refrigerator must be below 40F for food safety. A good range is 35-38F.

Ice forming in the bottom

Check the seal on the door and make sure it is "sound". Pay particular attention to the bottom or underside of the freezer door / drawer. Make sure nothing is preventing a seal between the fridge case and door. Misfigured, distorted or otherwise damaged seals can cause frost build up as you describe. Clear any objects / replace damaged seals found.

Good luck!

My fridge never goes off

is everything staying cold and machine is running normal other than running all the time?if so remove the bottom kick plate and clean the condenser coil off,if this is loaded with lint it will cause the machine to run longer because the lint is holding the heat in,this is how the machine cools down along with the condenser fan.you can pull out the machine and remove the bottom panel in the rear also and clean that out, make sure the fan is running then unplug it and clean it,i use a shop vac and a brush to do this, vac as much as you can then stick the brush through the coil holes and pull out as much lint as you can, then i stick the vac on blow and blow through the coil with short blasts so the dust and lint doesn't fly everywhere.you should do this once every 6 to 12 months.this will make a big differance on how the machine runs.

Why is there number 3 at the end of my refrig

The number means there have been 3 versions of this model. The model is the same on the sales floor but has had some type of minor change, the numbers change so the field can determine what parts go with the specific model. For example a '2' model may have had a certain type of shelf and that shelf was changed for '3' models. The change was minor but somehow the model number has to change to make sure the right parts go with the model. It could also be a component you do not see, such as a motor or wiring harness, anytime something is changed and only has minor effects the last number changes. I hope that helps.

The example of a shelf is only an example and does not mean that applies to your particular model.

Ice maker not working

Use this link to troubleshoot your Icemaker:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=12&newsdesk_id=34

Unless you have a defrosting problem that is causing the Freezer section to be just above the temp where the icemaker would function, the manual / link above will isolate the problem.
