take it back for a new one

find menu on your phone and search for phone setup then look for rings

go to phillips website and search for your phone

it means you have had a call that's to let you know, go to your handset pick up phone push the middle button with the arrows on it. press up to "call list" then select the - button to the left , that should tell you whos called then scroll throw the list until the light stops, that's who rang you.

Looks like that phone just uses 2 standard NiMH AAA batteries in each handset, which should be available at any retail store.

I have the same problem. New fully charged batteries in philips cd445 run empty without charging. could the be a problem with the contact to the charger? anyone with a solution??? Thanks!

You might have what is called "memory'. If you continue to replace the phone on it's charger after each call the battery will "think" it's empty, giving you s short charge time. Next time you replace the batteries (rechargeable) FULLY charge them then leave the phone off the charger until you go to bed at night.

Take out the user guide and see if the settings for these two units have not been changed. In the guide you will find how to set the ringer on these two units.

is it on ringer try turning it off and unpluging it

when you answer a call press the up or down button ,this will increase or decrease the volume.

it will flash if you have a missed call, look at the missed calls log and it will stop. (press the top half of round button that looks like a little paper scroll)

It solved itself after a healthy kick against the appropriate parts.
I booted it out of my office.

Per the manual, If there is a musical note in the display with a slash thru it, you have turned off the ringer. You have done this by pressing and holding the # button.
If you have the manual it's on the bottom of page 20 and continues on 21.
If not follow these steps.

Press Menu
Press CID/PBK (Personal set)
Press Menu (Handset Tone)
Press Menu (Ring Tone)
Press Menu and then CID/PBK to select the volume you want
Press Menu (Save Setting)
