How to Change Display Name
There is no option for it on your extension because your "class of service" is not set for it. Probably the only extension set for name change is 301 if the default configuration was not changed.

From any display phone
With the phone hung up [idle]
Press SPEAKER
Dial 728
Using a 24 hour [military] format
Dial 2 digits for the hour
Dial 2 digits for the minutes
Press SPEAKER to enter the change / end
Only the InMail voice mail clock is controlled by this clock setting. All other voice mail products will have a separate clock.

From the station connected to port 01 or 02 of the system
[Usually that is the attendant phone; ext 10, 11, 100, 101]
With the phone hung up [idle]
Press FEATURE [or FNC]
Dial 9
Press #
Enter the hour and minute via the dial pad
Press RECALL to change to am / pm as needed
If you only need to change the clock setting
Press FEATURE [FNC] to end
If you need to change the date as well continue
Press HOLD
Press RECALL [repeatedly if needed] to scroll through to select the day of the week
Press # to move the cursor to the day of the month field
Enter the day of the month via the dial pad
Press RECALL [repeatedly if needed] to scroll through and select the month
Press # to move the cursor to the year field
Enter the last 2 digits of the year via the dial pad
Press FEATURE [FNC] to end

Can NEC DTU-16D-1A be used with a standard PSTN line in?
Yes, the NEC DTU-16D-1A can be used with a standard PSTN line. You will need to program the phone system to recognize the PSTN line instead of the ISDN2 line. Here are some steps you can take:
- Access the programming mode on the NEC Xen Alpha system by pressing "Speaker" and then "7" on the main phone.
- Enter the system password, which should be provided in the user manual or by your system administrator.
- Press "Speaker" and then "3" to enter the line programming mode.
- Scroll through the line options using the arrow keys until you find the option for PSTN. Select this option.
- Save your changes by pressing "Speaker" and then "Store".
Once you have completed these steps, your NEC DTU-16D-1A handsets should be able to connect to the PSTN line and function properly.
