Ac freezing
for a homeowner the first thing to check is the filter. also make sure the fan inside is running. once the coil freezes it does make it more difficult to push air so coil must thaw. don't continue to run unit if you see ice, you are only harming the system. if checks are good you likely have refrigerant issues and need a technician If you need further help, reach me via phone at

We were given this air-conditioner and do not know
M's Pattieann...This is a simple fix. 1. shut it down and remove the filter and wash it out with warm water and a bit of soap.2. You can take a hair dryer and defrost the ice. 3. be certain that the unit is tilted to the outside about 1 inch or so.If you remove the front cover you will see the drain pan that is under the coil with the ice on it. some have hose's some don't . If it has a hose to drain check it for any thing that maybe plugging it up. If not then it will drain out the back of the unit on its own.Afain just make certain it is tilted to the outside. Be certain to clean the fdilter at least every 2 weeks depending on how much it runs. Also close off any rooms that are not in use as this unit is rather small onlybeing 5000 btu. set the temp setting at about mid way to start . Oh yes. If ice has formed on the spong type filter you will have to deice it or you will tear the filter. Hope this helps Let me know Jon
The air is not as cold as used to be. Does it need
Check the filter and be certain it is clean. close off any rooms that are not needed. then tell me the tempiture of the air in the room and the air comingout of the unit if you will. I think it is just doing all it can do though
Why does it leak under the unit?
This is normal. Hope you have the unit tilted to the outside.. this is the moisture that is being removed from the air in the room.
My air condotioner is blowing out warmair. It blows
It sounds like the unit is cycling on internal overload. The overload is switch the protects the motor from getting too warm. This would explain your cooling "cycling".
Check the condenser (the outside coil with vertical fins, the back of the unit). Is it clear of any debris? If not clean it using water or compressed air, using care not to bend or damage the fins or electrical wires/components.
Check the condenser fan motor. You can usually see the condenser fan motor through vents in the sheet metal. Check to see the the condenser fan motor runs when cooling is turned on, secondly check to make sure the fan blade is not broken, usually the blades are plastic. If the motor or fan blade is bad, you need a replacement.
Ac unit is leaking water out the front into the
Be sure you have the air cond tilted back away from the house. If you have a level, set it on top of the air cond and make sure the unit is tilted back by a half bubble. If you still get water in the house, the drain is stopped up in the unit and you will have to take it out of the window and out of the case and wash it out good.

then please contact to air con maintenance personnel for further action.
