Goldstar Microwave stirrer fan sparks
Stirrers are designed to distribute the microwaves and were used before turntables were introduced. They are protected by a plastic cover in order to prevent food spatter from contacting stirrer. They are not powered and are insulated on nylon bushings. Where exactly is the arcing occurring?

Our microwave MV-1310 has stopped heating food?
The cost depends only after identifying the fault and if this is only a fuse you have just got to replace. So remove power and top cover, check for the fuse near the main power line. If this is OK , check the controller unit and if the microwave works without heating, it can be a faulty waveguide- or a magnetron. The wave guide is not expensive but the magnetron is the critical and costly part and where you need an estimation.

My Goldstar MV-1310W microwave has sparks flying
Microwave ovens do not work well with exposed metal. IF you place uncoated metal in the oven, sparks will occur.
IF the interior of the oven has the metal exposed, it will cause sparking to occur.
There must be NO exposed metal inside a Microwave oven!

Some models do not have a screw if yours does not have the screw then you just lift the light housing. Look at the picture below.
If it does have the screw here is where it is located.

MV1310W .....blower fan and both
We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which
we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid with a one year
guarantee. This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament
shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first
unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a
failure on the controller. This can often also affect the exhaust fan, cooling fan, turntable, and/or inside light operation, too.Details of our service are at
our Web site, along with a video showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes. If you prefer, you can order a new control circuit board from one of various suppliers. Look for a part number stenciled on the board, something like 6871W2S143B or 6871W2S008D, etc.
You can order it from
the Pros here, from the
Sears Parts Direct
Web site
or from
Encompass here.
