Linda,I can think of two options.Find someone with the same power supply and see if that corrects the issue.Or, find a known good working battery and see if your two are bad.Batteries are made all over the world and have lots of recalls. Power supply cards that are taken care of are sold with the used PC's, if you see where I'm going.Good luck.

The battery is stationary but the cord is not, so I would say it is the cord. Go top a good store that works on them and ask to try it before you buy it. A new power supply can run $60.

I use Unlockbiosrecovery.com when I need to reset an unknown bios password on a laptop I am working on. These guys are cheap and they guarantee their work. If you forgot your bios password or hard disk password these are the guys to use.

after some reading it sounds like your model of laptop has a extremely high failure rate for its graphics card. there is a class action lawsuit for your model of laptop as well.

Unfortunately, I would either have to be in the chat mode or on the telephone with you to fully analyze your problem and provide a coherent answer. But don't despair because there is a little FREE program that may solve your problem.

Is it a slot load?
this is a common manufacturing defect on slot loads. ask for replacement.
I had this problem on brand new macbook pro. there are thousands of other user with same problem.
solution= get it replaced before warranty expires.

Have you already tried deleting the upper/lower filters. I had customer before who has the same issue as yours and was able to address the issue by doing my recommended solution. You might want to try these steps:

Note: If the registry is not edited properly your whole system can crash. So make sure to follow the steps carefully.

1) Close all open programs.
2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter.
3) Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders.

* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
* SYSTEM
* CurrentControlSet
* Control
* Class
* {4D36E965-E325-11CE-
BFC1-08002BE10318}

4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

* UpperFilters
* LowerFilters
* UpperFilters.bak
* LowerFilters.bak

5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete.
6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor.
7) Reboot your computer.
8) Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned.

1. 1. On our laptop, go to display settings (right-click on desktop > properties) to see if you have the ability to switch to different monitors.
2. On your TV, check if you have to switch through connection type (HDMI, VGA, etc...)
