No bootable devices
Make sure you don't have anything in the CD/DvD Drive. It sounds like your system is trying to boot from something other than your hard drive.Turn the system off then press the power button to restart it. Watch the screen for which key it says to hit to Change the Boot Order or Boot Sequence and hit that key when you see the message. Select the Hard Drive as your boot device and let it boot up again. This is a temporary change that is only good for the current boot cycle. It the system boots then you want to restart the computer and this time watch the screen and see which key it says to hit to get into the Bios or System Setup and hit that key. When it opens tab over to the Boot and set your boot order or boot sequence to have the CD/DvD drive 1st and your Hard Drive 2nd. This is the normal way so that if your hard drive ever fails to boot you can put a cd in the drive to remedy the problem. Otherwise, just make sure nothing is in the cd/dvd drive when you turn the boot the computer.
I've clicked on Abode settings on my screen which I don't want how do I undo this please
What settings changed on your screen? The icons got bigger or smaller? If so Click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. Open the display and click the Settings Tab to change the Resolution. The higher the resolution, the smaller the icons. The lower the resolution, the larger the icons. If that is not what you are looking for you can always run System Restore to go to a Restore Point (date and Time) before you made the Adobe change. System Restore does not delete your data. In Windows XP and Vista click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore and select a restore point that was before you started having problems. There should be an option to see more restore points than the one that is shown. In Windows 7 Click Start then in the search box type System Restore.Again, System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected).System Recovery on the other hand deletes everything and sets your system back to when you first purchased it.
Why do i keep burning up chargers
Because they are made in China. No Quality Control whatsoever. Also most times you are being sold a cheap charger to maximize profits. Look on eBay and buy a higher end charger for your laptop. Instead of buying one of the low end chargers for under $10, try one for maybe $30.
Over heating...
Could be the cooling fan has stopped working, or is running slow due to dust blocking the fan and vents on the case.

If your laptop is still under warranty, installing WinXP will void the warranty. It's very tricky. I'd suggest getting another PC with Internet connection and search and download drivers as needed for your 1525. Good luck.
