When you encounter with this kind of error it is an RAM error. You need to replace the RAM.

Install within Windows for dual boot. Piece of cake. There should be no reason to change BIOS.

Window will slowly start disabling itself by having lesser and lesser functions, if it is not activated. Use the Window Product key sticker on you system to register. You may have to call in to get activation key. It differs from product key.

The hard disk may need reseating or it may be faulty.
First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If this does not work then reboot and go to theBIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. The blue lines are a sign that the screen itself is failing. You can try to reseat the data cables from the motherboard to the back of the screen, but in most cases this is indicative of an immenent screen failure.

do an update on drivers through the asus website or the brand of webcam/touch pad

try to reinstall the software and check your setup
Go to your drivers and see if you have any that you do not need any more or that has red or yelow over them

Check Power button if it is off.
Check the power cable that goes to the Monitor and tighten it.
