Sony VGN-FZ430E/B Notebook - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Will there be any problem
Hi,
I went looking for info on your notebook and I found a full compliment of drivers for
Windows Vista,
Windows 7 x32 bit &
Windows 7 x64 bit Operating Systems (OS). There are camera drivers available for all OSes listed. There are NO drivers for any other OS - including Windows XP. That tells me that there is no driver for the camera and no support for the notebook when running Windows XP. The site also indicates there is no support for any other OS than those listed, too. I suggest that you download the latest drivers from the links I provided above and try once more.
If you are having difficulty with your camera in a supported OS with the drivers that are available, you might try posting a question on Sony's Online Forum. Here, you be connected to other Sony product users that may have already done what you are trying to accomplish. They can probably help you a great deal as I suspect running Win XP on your notebook wouldn't be too hard - and they may have sources for drivers that will work with your hardware. If you're not getting the help you need, you should contact
Sony Support.
I hope this helps & good luck! Please rate my reply. Thank you.

I have no response from my Sony Vaio FZ-430e
This sounds like it may be a Power controller problem, (circuit that controls battery charging etc...) To fix this the mainboard usually needs to be replaced, which will mean that you will have to send it to SONY to be "serviced".

I installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit on my sony
I have this same computer. Didn't it come with 32-bit Vista, cause mine did. The hardware of the camera may not be compatible with 64-bit. Also, did you do a clean install? Cause that's what I did by mistake when installing Windows 7 and none of my hardware worked. I ended up switching back to Vista because Sony did not provide any drivers for Windows 7 for this computer.

Sony vgn-fz430e won't boot. Power and battery led
The operating system is probably corrupted. If there is a file system and the OSID file is intact, it will try to boot up, but fail and end up not doing anything at all.
Hopefully you have a backup of your files:
You should reinstall the operating system. If the computer came with a restore disk (which it probably did), locate that and boot your computer from it. If it didn't, try booting up with system restore. I don't know how to do that on your computer because it varies from computer to computer.

Want to upgrade from vista to windows 10
The Microsoft website will give details of how to upgrade and the costs involved, though buying the new operating system on hardware and performing a drive format and a clean new load could make more sense.
A computer that previously ran Vista will probably be a few years old and therefore have a low specification so you could be disappointed with the performance when running Windows 10.
I have a very old pc originally running Windows 95 that copes well with XP without perceptible loss of functionality for modest purposes, which makes no sense at all.
On the other hand a relatively high-spec laptop I own needs a fair amount of patience running Windows 7.
You have to try these things but the results aren't assured and it is a bit like making a wager with your cash. Might be more economic to buy an up to date machine.

How do i send photo files that are on my laptop without losing the pictures
Hi Irene - There are many ways to send photos and so I am assuming you are sending them by email. If this is not correct, please provide more info. Within your email program send a new message. In the new message, click on Attach File or Insert Picture. Which ever you choose, it will open a box that will allow you to locate your photo files on your laptop. Select the ones you want and they will be added to the email. They will also remain intact on your laptop. Hope this helps. Thanks.
