My hp G60 LAPTOP WAS

Only if you have BIOS password set. In the past, BIOS passwords can be reset by removing batteries and shorting pins. But these days, the NVRAM chips that holds the passwords needs to be physically desoldered and replaced, which makes it very difficult and costly.

Windows passwords can be cracked easily. Hard drive passwords are also near impossible to crack and protects your data, but hard drive can be replaced easily making the laptop usable.

So if didn't have BIOS password set, then you're pretty much out of luck.

I get a "low disc space" error for my D-drive...go

Hi.
Based on the information you have provided, the issue might be due to the Windows Temp files or due to any Virus.
First, we can try deleting the Windows Temp files.
We can do this be performing the Disk cleanup.
I have mentioned the link which has the detailed steps to perform the Disk cleanup.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310312
Please click on the above link to view the detailed steps.
Performing the Disk cleanup should resolve the issue.
If the issue still persists even after performing the Disk cleanup, then the issue might might also be due to a Virus.
However, you may try performing a complete System Scan by using the Anti-virus Application installed in the Computer.
Please perform all the steps mentioned above.
This should resolve the issue.
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance,

My Laptop was switching off but now when i turn

Please follow the diagnosis outlined in this article to check whether the backlight lamp or the inverter board are the root cause of the problem or not:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r6430776-troubleshooting_laptop_power_failures

If you connect the external monitor & nothing is displayed on it, then this means that both the backlight lamp & the inverter board are fine. The main indicators in these cases are the sound, and the hard drive LED on the laptop case. If the laptop sounds just like it always does for a minute or two after being turned on, it means it's going ahead and booting the operating system, but the video processor or part of the motherboard circuit for video output has failed. If the laptop just sits there and beeps when you turn it on, or if you hear the fan but not the hard drive chuckling with its active LED flashing away, it means the laptop isn't getting as far as trying to boot the operating system. While this could be due to any number of hardware problems, the most common and easiest to
troubleshoot or repair is RAM failure. If your laptop has two RAM modules installed, try booting with just one and then the other in the primary slot. If your laptop only has one RAM module, you might consider buying one online from a site with a good memory selector, like Crucial.com.

My Compaq presario cq70-120us wont work =P it

i would expect to see the compaq logo come up, and you should be able to "post" (ie bring up the bios or a diagnostic screen) even if there is no functioning hard drive.
at least I would expect it to pop up with something like operating system not found,
you might be better off replacing this one (sorry)

The screen won't turn on during boot-up

i had this problem on a certain brand of laptop,i finally refered to the owners manual to find FN-F5 toggled from the screen to external monitor depending on 1 click or 2 etc and that Fn-F1 put the screen into sleep mode the same way---im not suggesting your machine uses the same sequence keys but it might be worth a try finding out if you have accidently toggled your keys.
you could also be missing your OS or your bios boot sequence is incorrectly set--Press F2 whilst booting to get into boot sequence option of bios)-there navigate with tab or arrow keys--save and exit or reset settings to default and exit--dont change any thing in bios settings until you are familiar with how to navigate and select changes OK!

Compaq presario laptop cq50 110em ///over heats

If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.
You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced.

If none of this solves the problem, or is not the case, then you might have a bad motherboard.

I had a compaq_pesario_CQ50 110us, when i press

Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.
2. Remove the DVD drive and test the laptop.
3. Remove the wireless card and test the laptop.
4. Unplug the display panel from the motherboard/video card and test the laptop.
etc....
Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.

Hi, how's it going?

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad
.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

My computer hangs up just

Hello

Ok, if you have a installation disc, insert it and boot from the disc. Once you get the option, try a start up repair.

If you cannot find a disc, try booting in "safe mode", once in windows, do a system recovery to the last known good settings.

Hope this can steer you in the right direction.

Kind regards

My Presario CQ50 won't turn on even when plugged

Most likely issue is that the cord has been damaged, or that the power jack has become loose.

First step is to remove the battery and try plugging in. If the light comes on, on the front of the laptop, your battery may be dirty or defective.
If the unit will still not power, you will need to test your cord or look into a new cord. If the cord puts out the proper 19v (give or take .5v) then the issue lies with the laptop jack. Otherwise a new cord will most likely do the trick.

I sometimes accidentally switch the keyboard to

There should be a sequence that you need to press to change it from one type of keyboard characters to another. Look for a key that has the symbol of a keyboard on it. Most likely this is the key that is causing you the problems. Typically you have to press the Function key that is near the space bar as well as the key with the symbol on it to change it from one character set to the other. Evey laptop keyboard is alittle different than the next when it comes to which keys are "functions keys", so you will have to examine your keyboard to find the correct key on you laptop.
