I am not certain, but if you have it connected to a DSL or other broadband telco line, it won't work for faxes. You need a simple regular landline for faxes in and out.

Check the manuals to be sure.

1) Open door so print heads move to the center
2) Unplug the unit. (Don't turn off, just unplug!)
3) Open back door
4) Look inside the back left side for a small black gear (About the size of a quarter)
5) Spin the gear with a screw driver (I'm pretty sure I spun it clockwise). Spin it and watch the inside of the printer where the print heads park. You should see a tray move out that has four rubber blue rectangles on it on the right side of the unit (this is where the print heads park when the unit is not printing).
6) Keep spinning the gear until the plate moves all the way forward.
7) Grab the plate and try moving it forward more.
8) Put the back on and close the top.
9) Turn the unit back on.
10) Open the top again
11) Unplug the unit again. (Don't turn off, just unplug!)
12) Grab the tray, from step 5, and slide it all the way forward and all the way back multiple times.
13) Make sure that the print heads slide left to right smoothly
14) Remove ink cart's and clean the contacts with bottled water and a q-tip. LET DRY BEFORE REINSTALLING!!!
15) Remove print heads and clean contacts with bottled water and q-tip. LET DRY BEFORE REINSTALLING!!!
16) Clean the inside of the printer with a soft dry cloth, use a slightly damp, with bottled water, lint free cloth (Glasses cleaning cloth works well) and wipe off the rollers in the front and back of the unit. See HP's cruddy support site for details on this step.
17) Hold down #7 (reprimes the printheads with ink) and plug in the unit
If needed also turn off and do a #6 to reset the unit.

did you replace these that they are telling you? If yes make sure you took off the tab that closes the hole that the ink flows from. if you did that make sure the cartridge is all they way in til the end. Close the printer & restart it. Then do a cleaining then a test page.It should be fine.If this did not help post to me and I will help you further.

Hi Dialahit,

Since you have upgraded to Windows 7, so your printer's driver also need to be installed which is compatible with Windows 7.

Here is the Link from which you can download the executable file and launch it on your system to install it.

But before this you will have to completely remove the older driver (printer's software), restart you system and then attempt to install this version.In between it is advised not to connect your printer with the computer. Connect it when you are told to connect.

Are you referring to the Options that Printer would provide from its Screen ? Like Scan to Email, Scan to Document ?

If so, it is likely that the drivers are corrupted or there is no 2 way communication between the printer and PC

Open Solution Center on PC
click on Setting
Click on Scan to Buttons
Click on Destination list
Check if the Right panel is empty or full.
IF Empty, Select the options you want from Left panel and set it on Right panel

IF the Panel is Not Empty, You would need to uninstall and reinstall the software as some updates have failed or some updates were not correctly installed

To uninstall the Software, you can run the software disk and click uninstall ( later restart the PC )

To download the latest Software drivers for your printer, click on this link and choose the operating system and download the full feature software and start the installation

IF you are using a memory card or using a Camera connected to printer ( Pict Bridge ) you do not need a PC to Print. You can see the details on the Printer screen and print it directly from it without a PC.

Find Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences. Click the Features tab. In the Paper Type drop-down list, click More, and then select HP Iron-on Transfer
from the list. If the selected size is not what you want, click an appropriate size in the Size list. Click the Advanced tab. In the Printer Features area, select On from the Mirror Image drop-down list.
If you want to keep the mirror image on the pc for later use there is another way: use a image viewer and flip it. In IrfanView: open the image, Image, Horizontal flip, Save.

Looking at the User Guide, it appears that the Mirror Image option may require you to select "Iron-on transfer" as the paper type (see p. 96 in chapter 7):

To reverse an image for iron-on transfers
1. On the File menu in your software application, click Print.
2. Make sure the HP All-in-One is the selected printer.
3. Click the button that opens the Properties dialog box.
Depending on your software application, this button might be called Properties,
Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.

5. In the Paper Type drop-down list, click More, and then select HP Iron-on Transfer
from the list.

Hi! Please try this. Unplug the printer from power source and press hold the power button for 10secs. while unplugged, this will reset the printer's system. Plug the printer again to power source, turn it on and see how it goes. Hope this helps and have a good one!

check the usb cable or use another usb cable...the turn it on

it is an ink-jet printer

you need to clear your print que. Go to properties and down to cancel all documents. then go back to properties and see if you can do a print test page.

Mine does that too if I don't hit enter to go to the next line of the word document before printing.

First thing to do is to reinstall the driver and software for the printer if the command to print is from the computer ...This will eliminate the driver error..or wrong setting ...After this..check the ink to be ok ..cause most issues like this are caused by old ink ...that was unused...or such ..The last thing reset the printer so ..you will be sure you have the settings on default and there are not settings that affect this....Also open it ..and clean the drum and the rollers for impurities and reset again if the first time didnt work ..If it worked before it has to work again ..To reset it ..try to power off and power it again and keep the button pressed 10 seconds..or use the reset feature from the menu..if it has..
after complete all these print a few pages....sometime it takes a while to stabilize if the cartridges are new..or just refilled..or not used a while..

it is possible that one of the toners are making a noise .if you have old toners try changing one at a time to find the problem

If you look in your manual, it should tell you where the option is. If you can't find your manual, there should be one up online. I did a quick search to find where that option may be, and this is what I found:

In the Printer Features area, select On from the Mirror Image drop-down list for it to appear as an available option

Like I said, you may need to look in your manual to find out for sure.
