Officejet Pro L7590 All-in-one. Prints
Hello,
The first thing that I would advise you to do is,
Put off the printer,
Uninstall the Printer Software totally from the System first,
Restart your computer,
DO NOT connect the printer yet.
I would have said that you should re-install the Printer software that came with it, but since you said it gives you error, then what I would suggest is that you should download a new, updated copy of the driver for the printer from this link below:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-49001-5&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=3643612
After this, install the software but DO NOT connect the printer yet.
Wait until it reaches the stage where you are asked to plug in your printer.
Then Locate a USB 2.0 Port on your computer, but make sure it is not the port that you normally use to connect the printer to your system before.
Plug it in and let it do the rest.
Try this out and let me know how it goes.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
Paper jam, removed paper but still says jammed. Is
You should be able to have a piece of paper feed all the way without hanging.
Most of the times, you can see a small piece of paper stuck in a corner.
I have used a cut piece of plastic ( from a file folder ) and worked small pieces out that way.
Good luck, Happy Holiday's
I can print on plain paper but when I use photo
Do not mix photo paper in the feed with any other type paper. Also, when you attempt to print, specify what type of paper you will be using to print pictures. Plain paper usually prints with no problems.
Hp l7590b no paper load
hi friend,
Step
1Turn on your printer. Make sure it is plugged into an electrical outlet and installed properly.
Step 2Wait for your printer to stop. Do not load paper while it is printing or running any kind of maintenance operation.
Step 3Prepare your paper. Make sure your paper is right side up (glossy, whiter or label side should be facing up). Make sure all the pages are lined up together, like a deck of cards.
Step 4Locate your paper tray. Some printers have a manual tray and an automatic feed tray. Refer to your printer’s documentation to find the automatic feed paper tray.
Step 5Place your paper in the tray. For 8.5 by 11 inch (standard) paper make sure the 8.5 inch side will be fed into the printer.
Step 6Set the paper guide. This is the movable piece on the side of your paper tray. One side should move and the other should not. Move your paper so it touches the side that does not move, and slide the paper guide so it touches the other side. Some paper guides have markings so you can set it to the exact measurements if you know the size of your paper.
Step 7Set the paper thickness lever. Refer to your manual to determine which setting this lever should be at. Generally, standard paper does not need a different setting and special media like glossy photo paper or envelopes should use a thicker setting. You can usually access this lever the same way you access your ink cartridges.
Step 8Let your printer know what it is printing. If you are using a special media, then set the options before you print. Click “Properties” on the print dialog before you print something. From there, change your media type to whatever kind of paper you loaded.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); Tips & Warnings
- Fan your paper back and forth before lining it up to load into your printer. This prevents static build up which is the leading cause of paper jams.
- If your printer doesn’t feed the paper correctly at first, try making slight adjustments as it tries to feed to find the right spot.
- Refer to your manual for in-depth paper loading instructions.
- Many printers have a resume/cancel button. This is to be used when you need to load paper mid-print job.
- Do not overload your printer.
- Avoid non-standard media types such as loose leaf paper with holes or folded or wrinkled paper or anything with affixed stamps or stickers. These can jam your printer.
hope this helps u

The adf doesn't work.
there is a lever-like device that is deflected when paper is inserted into the feeder. It interacts with an optical device to detect the paper.
The feeder mechanism cover should hinge to the left. The latches tend to be stiff so don't be afraid to apply some pressure. Look for the lever on either the cover or the bottom surface of the feeder. It should hinge easily with light pressure.
Sometimes the lever gets unhinged. There is a plastic sensor that moves back when the paper is loaded in the ADF.
the lever (plastic sensor) has a "flag" on it that interrupts an invisible light (infrared) beam in the optical sensor (optical device). The sensor is typically a small black device with slot in it. The flag moves through the slot without any physical contact. The sensor will not be visible without removing a cover of some sort.
there could be mechanical damage or misalignment. The failure could be one of the following:
1. The optical sensor is defective.
2. Since various sub assemblies in the printer are interconnected using cables, there may be a cable plug thats not mated securely with it's corresponding socket.
3. A component on the main electronics board has failed.
there are many other users facing the same exact problem with ADF not loading document and its not getting detected on front panel.

The images need to be re-sized. It's important when re-sizing to keep aspect proportions since a 5x7 print is a vertical or portrait print and a 4x6 is a horizontal or landscape print. Therefore, when re-sizing if you check off keep aspect ratio, you may get either 4" tall or 6" wide but not both or you'll stretch the picture distorting it. Picasa by Google is a good and easy to use photo editing program that should suit your needs and is a free download.
Picasa Best of luck with your project and please post back with any other questions.

I alrready replaced the ink cartridge but i am
Did you refill the cartridge ? Most of the times when you get this error message it means the cartridge was refilled by the user instead of purchasing brand new ones or that the copper contacts (gold coloured strip) on cartridge could be defective.
Take a dry paper towel & wipe the copper contacts on the cartridge. Wipe the copper contacts inside the cartridge holders (where your cartridges sit inside the printer). Reconnect the power supply to the printer & try printing. If still doesn't work, call Lexmark Tech Support on 1800 332 4120. They'll fix your problem & in case they're not able to, they'd ship you a replacement cartridge, no charges at all. Its worth the wait on the phone waiting for the tech support.
My screen on the printer which shows date, time,
try a reset ..
step 1 : unplug the power cable from the back of the printer when the printer is on .
step 2 : press and hold the 6 and # key together...
whlie pressing these keys plug in the power cable and affter 20 secs release the button..
this process will take few minutes to initialise the printer.
wait and follow the instruction if you see them on screen..
and reset the beezel as well..
The scanner will not work on the L7590
Found on HP page:
Open the following ports on the firewall utility by following the instructions provided by the manufacturer:
UDP ports:
161, 427 and 137
TCP ports:
9220, 9500 and 9290
I allow these ports in my firewall (router firewall) and it works now.

Your scanner is having problems. Try going to HP.com and getting the latest driver. If still no scanning, you'll have to repair or replace the unit.
