Hello SC,

I have heard of a lot of remedies for cleaning printheads and most of them are...well...'****' It has been my experience (now 17 years) if the printer will not correctly clean the printhead, purchase a new printhead. About the paper, there should NOT be any forgien objects in this department. If you are able to remove the paper with twezzers, do so. If not and you are not comfy with doing further repair, I would visit an authorized HP service center and let them perform a complete service of the printer. (Sometimes they will find issues that you may not have known about.)

I do hope this will help you. Good Luck

How do I print a Word document from a thumb drive?

IF you want to print the Word document from thumb drive using OJ Pro L7590, IT will not recognise the format of File.

If you can convert the File as Picture file, you will be able to print
this printer has OCR facility ( Optical Character Reade ) but it is Driver built and has to be used from the Software not from the Printer

The printer Pictbridge ( USB Port) to detect the Thumb drive will be able to show you pictures and let them print, however printing any RTF/TIFF/Text document, you may not be able to do so.

I'm reciving the following message:

Hi,

First thing to do is get the top off which can be easier said than done. The printer has four screws holding the top. After that remove the control panel by undoing the four screws holding it in place. This isn't strictly necessary but it makes life easier. Now move the print head to the left. To do this you have to lower a locking bar that is located at the base of the head. The head can be quite hard to move but it does slide left. Under the print heads you will find two pads of hard foam. These collect the ink when you perform a normal head clean and keep the print head moist. Soak these with water . Pool water on them and let it run through (it goes through to a large pad at the bottom of the machine by the way). Fold some tissue and lay it on the base when the heads pass over. Push the head back and forth over the tissue to clean the actual head. The tissue will come out covered in ink.Now for the tricky part get an old printer cartridge and remove the label on top that says "do not remove". Under the label you will find a couple of holes. Widen them / open them with a drill bit about 3 mm is good. Fill the cartridge with water and put it in the printer. Push the heads back over to the right as far as they will go. This will cause the sponges to come right up against the heads. Leave the set up over night. In the morning test the printer. Run a couple of head cleans with the cleaning cartridge in. Your problem is solved now

Thank you!

Fax wont' go through

Can you receive any faxes. Run a Fax Test from the Tools menu. Is the problem with only one fax receipient? (Check the phone number and make sure they are set to receive. I have dealt with one fax receipient where the call-waiting service caught the fax call.)

Does the Fax see a dial tone? If there is no dial tone, use a single line phone (corded) to listen for a dial tone at that jack. If there is no dial tone, check the incoming service for a dial tone. (If you have no dial tone at all, contact your service provider.) Try a new phone cable (2-wire RJ-11) Try calling the number from another phone line with the single line phone attached. If the phone doesn't ring with a new cable, check your wiring and then contact your provider. Is the signal analog or digital (the all-in-one is designed for digital)?

Go back through the fax settings and set it as directed in Step 2 here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01458259&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3643612 . You need the fax error reporting setting.

Disconnect any items that are plugged into the 2-Ext port.

Try reinitializing the unit. Unplug the power cord with the unit on. Make sure that the phone cord is fully seated in the 1-Line port. Then reconnect the power cord.

Try resetting the all-in-one, this may require 2 people. With the printer on, unplug the power cord and wait at least 20 seconds. Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord. Release the buttons after the unit starts up.

If none of these steps help the unit may need service.

HI there,

Do deep cleaning on the printer, due to dirty nozzle and print head thats why you get a poor quality printouts on your printer. Better to a complete maintenance on the printer to put it back again into normal operation.

You can find the maintenance tools under the printer properties.

Hope this initial info / idea helps.

Please provide instructions to enlarge the copy.

There should be a button with an option that says "resize to fit" or "fit to page" or maybe even something else similar to that matter, you may even have one fancier that allows you to do it by percentage (I love those), but it'll be one of those three options. Good luck!

Ink cartidges are all installed and registering

Does it take (pull up the paper) in the paper? If so, Try to print only images and check if it works or not. It'll be much easier if you let us know the program from which you are printing. Also try to print only in text using Ms Word, wordpad or notepad. If possible update your driver. Good luck.

Hp printer prints upside down

Sounds like you printer is possessed. Or...more likely, you got a printer font that allows the type to be upside down. Try changing the font to something else. If that doesn't work...go to your printer display and set the default back to factory. If that doesn't work...consider uninstalling your printer software and reinstalling.

Scanner says in use when nothing is printing

These instructions will fix the majority of scanner2_bing.gif problems and networking problems using ethernet:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01849855&lc=en&dlc=ro&cc=ro&product=3643612&rule=4124&lang=ro

The key is to assign a static ip address for the printer. The install problems of trying to get the HP printer to be found will go away. You can then use the scanner. Also...it is crucial that when connecting other laptop's and PC's on the same network that you use the hp printer'rs host name to find the printer on the network. I find that the IP address can and usually fails to find the hp on the network. Mostly likely you cannot search the network for a hp printer until you go the route of find the hp network printer with the host name of the printer. You will also need your install disk when installing on other networl laptop's and PC's since windows xp and Vista machines don't have the drivers in the list. You will need to point the add printer gui driver to the disk and look for autorun.inf
file. After selecting that file...you can then see your drivers
