Sounds like you should try recaliberating the touch screen. Calibration must be done with a stylus. Please note: Using a unlicsensed screen protector can lower the sensitivity of the screen, making calibration difficult. If the problem you are encountering started happening after installing a screen protector, this may be the cause of the problem. Remove all games from the Nintendo DS. Turn the system on by pressing the POWER button. Press the A Button when the "Touch the Touch Screen to continue" message appears. When the main menu appears, use the Control Pad to to place the cursor over the Settings Menu Panel at the bottom of the screen, and press the A Button. should look like this :

Use the Control Pad to place the cursor over the orange icon that looks like crosshairs (the right-most icon), and press the A Button. should look like this:

Use the stylus, and tap the red square that appears on the screen. Do this each time the square moves. You must touch the red square precisely at each of the three positions, otherwise the test will continue to re-start If the touch screen is not responding properly, hold the Nintendo DS at an angle so that you can see where the edges of the Touch Screen meet the housing of the system. Look around the entire edge of the Touch Screen for any foreign material (such as crumbs, etc.) that may be wedged in between the Touch Screen and the housing of the DS. Foreign material in this area can cause the Touch Screen to work incorrectly. When complete, four squares will appear, allowing users to test the touch screen sensitivity. (Testing is optional.) Tap the "Confirm" button in the lower-right corner. Wait for the the confirmation message to disappear, then tap "Quit," then "Yes" to exit. Here's the idea behind Game Shark:

Alter the normal play of a video game to give the user an advantage.

That's cool and all, but think of it this way:

Take GoldenEye 007 for N64 for example. Game Shark makes it really fun to play; the only thing is that you'll start wondering in places where you shouldn't be (not intended to get to in the actual gameplay) and the game will start glitching until you're out out of that area. The reason this game sticks out to make this point is that after you accomplish a few missions on normal gameplay and do some tasks, you'll start to unlock certain cheats made for the game; pretty much getting rid of the need for GameShark (which you'd only use for the really hardcore codes). The biggest difference is that when you use gameshark the game doesn't recognize it as a cheat game and assumes your "walk through doors" to be normal.

GTA4 has cell phone cheats that you can enter to get a upper hand, the game knows you're cheating and blocks out all of the trophies as this could lead to a very unfair advantage. The thing is, these cheats were meant for the game.

Case and point: It will mess up your game. If you save your progress using these cheats it could effect your game and ultimately your system. Please don't use any cheats that weren't intended for the game and be careful if you do.

First thing would be to try either EB Games or Gamestop. They carry a bunch of systems and accessories; I'm pretty sure they'd have what your looking for. Plus, if it's used you get a 30 day no-questions-asked waranty so if it doesn't work you can return it.

If the board (PCB) is not damaged you can re-solder the wires back. If the PCB is damaged you should be able to get new ones by looking up the make and model of the device and look for the specific part.

The DSi has several system updates specifically designed to block flashcarts such as the R4. Check the R4 website to see if they have information on what to do if your DSi has blocked the cart. You might be able to do an update to the R4 to fix it. Another option is to get a different cart that has a work-around built in, such as the "SuperCard DSTwo" which has a small chip inside it that other carts don't have and has a file you can download directly onto the memory card that goes into the cart to update it whenever that happens.
