Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main digital board.
Connect hdmi goodmans tv
Forgive on this one but I do not have a soundbar but wonder if it has any other connections like phono for input as to me hdmi would be a strange choice. Hdmi leads are mostly alike in they are fully wired and carry a wire which directs a device to listen to it when turned on, also some hdmi sockets (like the old scart) are blessed with options.
Some may be input only while others set for in and out so it may be worth swapping connections on your TV to see if this changes the habit, though for me I would look to see if this soundbar has other sockets to use like phono (same with your TV if it has phono or scart socket options). Your TV instructions may show their ideal connection setup, otherwise you will have to shutdown your other item to stop it commanding the TV to switch through its sound. This "problem" is an old one with people using scart leads then I used to cut pin 8 (its control wire handing the descision to a user) but this new lead combo I do not know.
Hope this helps.........

How do i fix the shadow on my Samsung TV?
Well, it has a bad T-con board. You'll have to pay for the part, but you can fix it yourself. The board can be replaced easily. The T-Con board is usually near the center of the screen when you have the back removed. Just look at the ***** holes with arrows pointing to them and take out only those screws. Once the back is off, you'll see a board under a metal cover(not always) The board has flat wide ribbon cables that go to the bottom of the screen. Get the numbers off the board and go here for parts:

You could take the board out and look for a cracked solder joint on the board or a cold solder joint and repair.
Bad solder joints are very common in TVs and monitors due both to poor quality manufacturing as well as to deterioration of the solder bond after numerous thermal cycles and components running at high temperature. Without knowing anything about the circuitry, it is usually possible to cure these problems by locating all bad solder connections and cleaning and reseating internal connectors. The term 'cold solder joint' strictly refers to a solder connection that was either not heated enough during manufacturing, was cooled too quickly, or where part pins were moved before the solder had a chance to solidify. A similar situation can develop over time with thermal cycling where parts are not properly fastened and are essentially being held in by the solder alone. Both situations are most common with the pins of large components like transformers, power transistors and power resistors, and large connectors. The pins of the components have a large thermal mass and may not get hot enough during manufacturing. Also, they are relatively massive and may flex the connection due to vibration or thermal expansion and contraction.
To locate cold solder joints, use a strong light and magnifier and examine the pins of large components for hairline cracks in the solder around the pin. Gently wiggle the component if possible (with the power off). Any detectable movement at the joint indicates a problem. With the power on, gently prod the circuit board and suspect components with an insulated tool to see if the problem can be effected.
When in doubt, resolder any suspicious connections. Some monitors may use double sided circuit boards which do not have plated through holes. In these cases, solder both top and bottom to be sure that the connections are solid. Use a large enough soldering iron to assure that your solder connection is solid. Put a bit of new solder with flux on every connection you touch up even if there was plenty of solder there before.

I dropped it. Why is the picture just squiggles?
My son once dropped our tablet and everything became fluted. I took the tablet to Samsung but having been overseas and the tablet was purchased in America they could not fix it as the parts needed could not be obtained.
I had 2 options. I could either throw it away and lose all my files or try to fix following an intensive Google search. I chose the latter.
I found a YouTube video in which the man walks you step by step in taking it apart and repairing several issues. Once I had the back removed, I found several 5pin wires in which they were all aligned perfectly with the exception of one. I carefully pushed it so that it became aligned, turned it on... and had a perfectly working tablet again. I am not sure if its safe for you to do this as I have always read the warning labels advising to never remove the back so not to be electro shocked but it might be worth you doing some research and seeing if its possible.
