Depending on what model tv and dvd player you have, it will be either HDMI (one cable for audio/video), RCA Yellow(video) red/white (audio), or Composite (3 for video and 2 for audio). Make sure you connect the cable you choose to the INPUT of your tv and then you have to use your tv remote to change the input (ex: hdmi 1, or aux, video 1 etc) depending on your model and input you choose.

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.4. Sounds like a blown capacitor on your board to me. Its a common problem in Samsung TV's and is typically an easy fix, but I think in the LG's its a bit more expense and not as easy as swapping out a Capacitor. I think the main board may have to be replaced there. What actually happens is the capacitor bursts at the top and oozes liquid that solidifies, its caused when the capacitor that is used is underrated for the application (basically some engineer's solution to making us have to buy a new tv in 3-4 years, a slightly underrated capacitor will have a shelf life of use, kind of like a timer, they all do it belive me) eventually the set will not rendure any picture at all and the board will have to be replaced.

You have answered you question yourself:You have a loose connection inside---may be a plug or connecter inside or a physical problem on one of the boards or even the main display panel.Someone has to open it and see what they can find by probing the chassis in different areas.

Check the power supply regulator baord. Replace it as card basis.

Thats because the sound is being controlled by the Playstation and not the TVs circuitry. The main board will need replacement. www.tvcircuitboards.com should have the board available.

Check the batteries make sure there good and in the right way.

I would check the t-con board. This is what transfers your picture to teh lcd screen.You can get get parts for this tv at www.interliquidparts.com

The stand comes with several different size screws, Did you not get the screws that came with the bracket?

If you broke one of the base stand screw you will need to do as follow:

Remove the remaining screws of the stand and try to remove the stand, if you cant you will need to remove the back cover of the TV and then you will be able to remove the stand, remove the broken screw and put it all back.

It is pretty easy but if you feel you cant do it let me know and I can give you a detailed step by step guide.

Hi, I believe it is the power supply(transformer) or power board. Have it checked by a Techy repairman. Good luck.

If you have the original LG remote then it should be the 2nd button under the TV button on the remote on the left side.

You can't connect speakers to the TV. You will need a Audio Receiver to connect the speakers and TV to.

With the onset of more and more TVs being hooked up to cable, TV manufacturers didn't need to make the tuners as sensitive because the signal from the Cable Co. was much stronger than the over the air signal. If the other TVs are older they may be just sensitive enough to lock onto the channel signals. You could ask your cable provider to check your available signal in the house to see if there is the proper amount of signal. Some channels can inherently be stronger and when "block converted" (put where the cable company wants the channels) all come thru but some are a bit clearer.
