With the onset of more and more TVs being hooked up to cable, TV manufacturers didn't need to make the tuners as sensitive because the signal from the Cable Co. was much stronger than the over the air signal. If the other TVs are older they may be just sensitive enough to lock onto the channel signals. You could ask your cable provider to check your available signal in the house to see if there is the proper amount of signal. Hello
The power supply board [SMPS board] of your tV is faulty. Normally, nor repair to this board is intented, or should be done. This board should be replaced as card basis. Plasma TV's panels are very sensitve to static or over voltages. So it will be best to replace this board, rather than maing "surgery' to it. In most cases, the components in this board will be very difficult to get from open market. Frome your description, the SMPS transformer on this board is faulty. You can't get it seperately. Just repace the power supply card. The picture of the card is atteced here. Two snaps of different angle is shown for your reference. OK.
