20 Most Recent Transcend T-Sonic 850 Digital Media Player Questions & Answers

I will share two ways to convert video to avi file ...
# Free:
1. Go to http://zamzar.com
2. Click on the free-nexusone-video-converter-button.png to add video files from local disk or paste in the link to the YouTube video (it will also convert some other streaming video files, but not all - just try to see if it will convert the one you need)
3. Choose the output format AVI ;
4. Enter your email <school e-mail has less capacity than google or Yahoo accounts and may 'strip' the attachment>
5. Click convert

The file will be converted and a link will be sent to your email (usually within 1 or 2 hours). You will then click on the link and be able to download AVI video files .

# Shareware :
Free Download Daniusoft video convert suite

The reason for introducing this shareware video converter just is that Zamzar has some irksome restrictions like:

You don't have priority file conversion, converting files with maximum size of 100 mb, up to 5 conversion at the time and you don't have any online storage.

However, all these restrictions are not exist for Daniusoft video converter suite. It even can Rip and Convert Movie DVDs to AVI fast and losslessly... In addition,

1. You can set the video resolution, bit rate, encode etc. for output .
2. You can edit your video like cropping/trimming/merging video clips to customize your video.

Here is a link for firmware upgrade od your mp850:

After decompressing the .zip file please read the Firmware Update Procedure pdf document. It is described how to do this.
The .zip file contains the .pdf and .exe files too.

First thing to check is the power. If this is on, then the only answer is that your green wire linking console button to the motor has a break in it. I found my break at the motor connection - after time this had been bent and weakened and had snapped. I snipped end of green wire (motor side), cut away plastic and reconnected to motor connection with two arrows up and down, and wa la! Try it.

Hi shivak981...

Try this solution to your problem.
Go to Device Manager
To get to Device Manager you will:
Right click on My Computer>Properties>click the Hardware Tab>Device Manager.
After you are in Device Manager look for your MP3 player or Unit.
Here you should see no "Yellow" exclamation points.
If you do they they are telling you that you have a device conflict.
If you currnetly have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your Player or Unit.
If you unit has an exclamation point by it, then you will need to click on it and delete it.
After you remove all devices with conflicts then click on refresh and search again for your MP3 player/Device.
The computer should install your device this time and solve your problem with connection of the MP3 player/Device.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.

Your question appeared two times, I send my answer here also:

Try Powering it ON and OFF a few times, if this does
not correct the problem you can Reset the unit by pressing the "Reset" button for 3 to 5 seconds.
Is your T.sonic 850 properly connected to the USB port? If not, unplug it and plug it in again.
The MTP mode in the Settings menu should be set to "USB." In this mode, files
can be transferred by simply dragging them onto the T.sonic 850's Removable Disk drive letter.
You don't need any driver on PC in case of windows op.system.
If these don't help try study the user manual to find additional possibilities:

Good luck!

Yes you can view movies BUT the movies files must be converted to a format that can be played on your media player.
You need earphones to listen to music and movies.

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.
