I can't get the video to work on the wii using the

Your post indicates the use of a receiver. If you are in fact using a receiver, make sure you have a "video out" connection from the receiver to your television. Then make sure you have the correct input selection on the receiver, and on the TV.

Yamaha Receiver RX-V463

Do not use HDMI thru your receiver. Go directly from the Cable box to the TV. Connect coaxial digital or optical to your receiver. Your receiver uses HDMI version 1.1 or 1.2, which is riddled with issues. If you want to read about them, Google HDMI Problems and you can read for hours. Long of the short of it is; Don't pass HDMI thru your receiver, use the receiver for audio only. Hope this answers the question. Sorry for the bad news! I'm in the industry and have been dealing with these issues for a couple years now.

Direct TV remote code for yamaha rx-v463?

It is 30376. The trick to discovering, is to turn the receiver off, first. Then it will power on when you input mute/select 30376. Then you can program the DirecTV remote to adjust volume (in AV2 mode only or in all modes). However, it will only power up the receiver. It has to be turned off with the original remote or at the receiver itself.

I'm stuck on mute without a remote.

Look for universal remote with mute function. If not available you will have to purchase an original new remote.

When I turn the receiver on, it suddenly turns off after only 4-seconds. Advice?

sounds like there is a problem in the amp. If you hold the "STRAIGHT" and "AUDIO SELECT" buttons and then press power, what does it say on the display? This will help narrow down where your problem may be.

I have a yamaha rx-v463 and a yds-11 iPod dock that I can't get to work. My iPod comes on but I can't get any sound out of the speakers. Haven't used the iPod in a long time and I feel that I don't

First check the yam does play other sources of sound, e.g. radio or CD. Then try your ipod in another dock to check the Ipod is working. Then check the manual for the Yam to be sure that you have set it to a mode where it will take in the signal from the IPod. Did you switch it away from IPod source to play a DVD or a CD or the radio?

Speakers not playing

The problem can be the cable or speakers or RX-V463 or settings. Need to check one by one. Set the RX-V on DTS or Dolby Digital 1) Check Cables - connect the 2 (surround) cables from RXV's Centre Out to Centre speaker. If the Centre speaker works, then cables are ok. 2) Check speakers - Connect each Surround speaker to RXV's Centre out. If it works Speakers are ok. 3) Check RXV - Set it on DTS or Dolby Digital Connect RXV's surround out (one at a time) L and R to the Centre speaker. If there is no sound, the problem could be RXV's settings (I need to read the manual). Hope this helps.

No sound to tv but sound to headset

Are your speakers turn on? Look on the front panel and make sure it shows speakers A on the display. It is very easy to accidentally turn them off with the speakers front panel button.

I am using a logitech

The remote has nothing to do with this.

Get into the manual. Page 14 says Component Video In will go to Component Video Out, not HDMI. No analog-digital video conversion is implied.
