No sound from Crosley Director

I am wondering if you were ever successful in getting any sound? My unit is doing the same thing, but it has been since I plugged my phone in the line-in jack. Everything is powered, but no sound and I called Crosley and it is a discontinued model. There is no phono/line switch and if there was, I believe my problem would be solved. Thank you, if you get this and answer what your results were!

The soldering has come loose from the piece where the power adapter plugs into the port. the piece itself looks pretty done, does anyone know where i can find a suitable replacement part?

The unit uses a DC JACK SOCKET, which is the part you are describing. Remove the DC socket, by unsoldering. You may need a reel of desoldering braid or a spring-loaded 'solder-sucker' syringe to make life easier. Then take the DC socket in to your nearest electronics component supplier (eg Radio Shack) as a sample. Pins of old & new must match exactly, and built-in switched contacts, if any. When re-soldering new socket, use minimum solder and heat - just enough to flow the solder onto new pins. Double check for unwanted shorts between pins and track pads, all solder points good (no dry joints), then re-assemble. Now plug DC JACK PLUG back into unit, and Bob's your aunty.

TURNTABLE DOES NOT WORK FOR CROSLEY CR 78CD

It could be that the switch has either broken, become obstructed, or has moved out of place. If the unit is NOT under warranty, then you could access the deck from underneath to check on the switch. If it is under warranty then contact Crosley. Do NOT attempt to repair it yourself.

No power to my crosley cd recorder which may be from the result of a power surge. How can I fix this.

The thing to do is look inside the unit and check the power supply. It could have just blown an internal fuse.

HOW DO I ADJUST THE SPEED ON A CROSLEY CR47 RECORD PLAYER

There should be a speed control switch in the upper right side near the arm. I found a CR-48 manual with a picture at page 4 at the link shown. That should be similar to the CR-47 Crosley CR 48 Instruction Manual Control Locators Getting Started

How do I get the cassette draw to open on my Crosley Songwriter CD Recorder CR248?

Inside the unit probably is a small rubber belt which will operate the draw, it has possibly fell off or snapped. It will just need to be replaced. Look on e-bay for a replacement belt. You can get loads of different sizes cheap from China.
