k850 keypad problem # 1....7 ....short cut menu.... upper keypad not functioning.... i think this keyfoil problem ...pls help

Use this steps to unlock your mobile

1 - Switch ON your Sony Ericsson K850i without any SIM Card,
2 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
3 - Press the button * twice,
4 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
5 - The message "Personalize with MNC2" will appear, (or you will have displayed an unlock menu, select the lock you want to unlock)
6 - Enter the Unlock Code.

Try reading K850i Firmware Overview.. There are some issues with firmware. Such as random reboots and BROD (Blue Ring of Death) i was recently victimized by this BROD. 037 firmware is the most stable firmware so far.. i would advise you also to downgrade your firmware first until SE releases a new and more stable firmware..

The reason your phones touch screen is not working is simply because there is a problem with the flexi of the phone.

If the screen is not damaged in any way, then the assumption of it being the screen is absolutely correct.

To fix the flexi of the phone;

1. Get the appropriate screwdriver,
2. remove the battery, the battery cover, and your sim,
3. Turn the back of the phone,
4. you will see five rubbers,
5. pick them off with a pincher,you will see screws under them, unscrew the phone,
6. Get a credit card and slip it through the line around the phone then apply a little force in separating them apart,
7. you will see the panel of the phone, carefully lift it up,
8. you will see a flexi that runs through the screen to the panel, carefully detach the flexi from the panel,
9. unscrew the screen of the phone, remove the flexi connected to the screen also and replace it.
10. Reverse the process to reassemble the phone.

Hi this is a very common problem with all flip and slide phones and even laptops and notebooks, the problem is to do with the data ribbon that connects the screen to the circuit board in the bottom of the phone.
now inside this ribbon are several single strand copper wires and over time open and closing the phone causes these to break and you then lose the connection with the screen.

as this is such a common fault it makes the part itself cheap to buy and cheap to get fitted. it isnt something you can do your self as you need specialist tools to take the phone apart and to fit the data ribbon.

if you want it repaired the cheapest place would be one of those small independent phone shops as the bigger one will have to send it off and you will be charged extra for this, the smaller phone shop should be able to fix it whilst you wait or the next day at the latest.

its up to you if you think the phone is worth getting fixed then it wont cost much to get done.

please charge your battery on battery elamminator then insert into ur cell phone

Check your Battery has Full Charge.If there is Charge in your Battery,Remove your Battery for Few minutes or Half an hour.
Reinsert your Battery then Try again to Switch On.
Still same it Needs to Repair.It means need to Be Flashed[Reprogram your Phone].Or it might be Some Hardware Damage...

seriously, bang it on a hard surface. if the shutter is really stuck then it needs to be serviced.

best thing is you go to data account settings in your phone and then see what what fields u need to fill like there will be some places like APN, port address and many! then u can search bsln's settings and type in to that or else call bsnl's technical helpline and take the things to be typed in those fields and fill them and save! use that account to access the net it will be done!!
or for the settings u need to tell me your location ill search and will give u the link to the settings!!

call your service provider and they can give you that code.

try to flash its with latest firmware

the trigger switch or shorted try to clean it

hi kieran. your software is corrupt. the only fix is to take it to a service centre, as, it can be upgraded only by special sony ericcson box

You need to restore the phone to the factory defaults. If this doesn't work, you'd have to bring your phone to someone that can update the phone's firmware.

Inorder tosolve your PUK problem, *kindly contact your service provider (customer care) *Tell your phone number and they will give your PUK code *Enter that code on your cell phone(Wall that ask puk code) *Then your phone ask another pin code&to verify,there you can type your desired code(say 0000,00000,1234,12345). * Then your phone will restart normally....
