The 28811 does NOT come with a voicemail system. The voicemail indicator will flash to indicate you have voicemail on your telephone company's voicemail system. This system will record messages when people call while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.If you need manual, you may download a copy here.

Very Cool Feature. With the handset off, press the mute button(menu/ok). then arrow down to ROOM MONITOR. press the mute button again. it will prompt "ROOM MONITOR EXTENSION?" press either 1 or 2 depending on what handset you are using(if 1 doesn't work, try 2). And that is it you can really hear what is going on. To stop monitoring, press cancel.

Since voicemail is set up through your phone service provider, you should contact them to see what their access number is. If you don't want to try to remember the number, program it into speed dial.

From the manual:

1. Press the CALLER ID-VOLUME ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to the RINGER VOLUME sub-menu.
2. Press mute/menu OK button to enter the menu. SET RINGER LEVEL 5 shows in the display.
3. Use the CALLER ID-VOLUME ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to your selection. LEVEL 5 is the default setting.
4. Press the mute/menu OK button to save your selection. You will hear a confirmation tone and the new volume setting shows in the display.

If you can't find your message, please call the business' phone company and ask them if there are multiple mailboxes linked to your business phone number.
