You are probably getting interference between the base and the handsets. Unplug both and remove the batteries from the phones. When you reconnect it all you should have a new connection. If the problem is not solved, try using a different phone. If the noise is on that phone, it is your phone line and your phone company needs to address the problem.

Change your channel (press ch button while talking). If that dosen't work press it again...and so on.

I had the same problem on a hadset I hardly ever used and after many attempts to find the solution I had to throw it away..no one was able to give me any good sound advice as to how to repair..hope this helps

New message indication The message display counter will flash when there are new answering system messages. If the new message alert tone is turned on, the telephone base will beep every ten seconds when there are unreviewed messages. Message playback Press /PLAY/STOP to listen to messages. Press /PLAY/STOP again to stop playback. If you have new messages waiting, you will hear only new messages (oldest first). If there are no new messages, the system will play back all messages (oldest first). When playback begins, the total number of messages is announced, followed by the day and time of the first message to be played. Options during playback Press VOL+/VOL to adjust the speaker volume. Press >>/SKIP to skip to the next message. Press<</REPEAT to repeat the message currently playing. Press <</REPEAT twice to listen to the previous message. goto settings and divert all calls to voicwmails and click on ok

You must turn off your internal answering machine. There should be an on and off button somewhere on the main base.

The built in internal tape is wearing out or timing programming is causing fault.
