WRONG CONNECTION,SORRY I HAD SIMLER PROBLEM,MUST HAV CORRECT CONNECTION-BRAND,3.5,MATRICK.

You need to update the software on the device. I called their support line and the tech explained everything. This has been a common problem with this conference phone.

Try to increace volume over the phone settings itself. If its already max, then just replace the mic and that's it.

Please I have the same issue, the receiver cannot hear whjat we are saying our voice is very faint to the receiver as if we are calling from a very far distant location from the phone.

Please download "SoundStation2W Software Upgrade" from the Product Support page of our website and follow the included instructions. I solved this issue with our Polycom by following the following instructions via the link below.

Upgrade phones with following software:
CVM: Version 1.61
All SoundStation2Ws with software CVM version 1.61 are susceptible to this failure mechanism and must be updated. To upgrade the software, please download theSoundStation2W Software Upgrade application and follow the detailed Software Upgrade Instructions located on the SoundStation2W support page. This issue only impacts the CVM version number listed above.

Requirements:

1. USB cable for the Polycom wireless unit
2. Windows XP machine
3. Download the instructions
4. Download the Firmware Update

try connecting standard analog phone to see if you get dial tone, sounds like you might be connected to a digital port
