Weber Genesis E-310 Gas Grill - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I purchased my Weber E-310
Weber no longer offers or support conversion kits. If you do any conversion it will VOID you warranty!
That said, if you can find the parts online for the LP version of your grill you can convert it yourself if you are mechanically inclined.
You will need to change the JETS and the GAS REGULATOR. Unfortunately they do not sell official Weber Gas Jets alone. You will have to by the complete LP Manifold, valves and all as well as the Tank Hose with Regulator...
Make sure you are comfortable with all of this... Leak testing etc...
You may have luck finding parts at:

Why does the igniter run all the time
replace the module. the only way for that to happen is if the button is damaged so the small metal strip inside is connecting or the spring is damaged.
Poor flame after changing tank on gas grille
Turn off propane. Disconnect propane tank from barbecue. Open burner valves for about 20 seconds. Close valves. Reattach propane tank. Slowly open propane tank valve. Turn on burner and ignite
Gas igniter inoperative
Check the button. Unscrew it and change the battery. It should be a AA battery. Sometimes they are out in upside down and other times they are not installed at all.
Assembly manual weber 310
i am having trouble lining the body of Weber Genesis 310 to the holes on cart sides. they seem to be off 3/8" towards front of grill. Could their spec be off or assembled incorrectly. I have gone over instructions several times & can't see where I went wrong.
Hooked up proane tank used once then no flame on
The valve on the tank has an internal valve that will not allow you to release propane into the atmosphere. It must be connected to a regulator line in order to open.
It sounds like your regulator has failed. Remove the regulator assembly, inspect it carefully for blockage or hose kinks. If there none, try replacing the regulator assembly.

Brand new grill. Reset 3
Not sure what you're doing to rest the regulator. So, try it one more time by doing the following.
First make sure you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out, do the following to the letter.
1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.
2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.
3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).
4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.
If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's
Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or
hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it,
turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.
Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!

RAN OUT OF PROPANE AND GRILL WILL NOT RESTART
Assuming you refilled or replaced the tank, here is what you need to do.

What tools are needed to put this BBQ together
Basically, you'll need 4 hand tool. A flat blade screwdriver , a Phillips Head Screwdriver, an Adjustable Wrench & Box End Wrench. If you are real careful, you can substitute a Variable Speed Drill Driver for the Phillips Head Screw Driver. Be careful not to over torque the screw.
Hope this helped you and Happy grilling!!
The gas supply seems to be restriced. A new tank
To solve the problem do the following:
1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.
2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank valve.
3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).
4 Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first & turn it to high.
Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners the exact same way.

Always remember to turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly. If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the Hose/Regulator Assembly. They run about $30.00 at home centers and hardware stores that sell grills & accessories. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

Just bought a new Weber
1. Turn the tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.
2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.
3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).
4. Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first & turn it to HIGH.

Always remember to turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.
If
the above didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the
grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly, as the regulator is locked up. You can
pick one up from any home center or hardware store that sell grills and
accessories for about $30.00. Take your old one with you for
comparison purposes.
I hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem, Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!
