Replaced control board on dryer still getting e61 code

The problem is not with the dryer as confirmed by the other identical dryer brought by the dealer. The problem is in the wiring of the receptacle where the dryer is being plugged in as characterized by error code E61 which means the control board is receiving a high voltage. The dryer operates both on 110VAC for the controls including the motor and 220VAC dedicated for the heating circuit. The receptacle must be configured according to the specifications of the dryer. Refer to the diagrams below and configure the receptacle according the plug that came with the dryer. Voltage across L1 and L2 is 220VAC, L1 and Neutral is 110VAC, L2 and Neutral is 110VAC.11_18_2012_4_10_08_pm.jpg11_18_2012_4_10_35_pm.jpg

Thermal imiter tppe

Hello - Try resetting the unit at the household circuit breaker first and then retry the unit. If this proves to not be successful, then typically this is something that a professional would need to diagnose. Possible causes could be a faulty power cord or house wiring, defective control board, thermal limiter or door switch.

Blower Motor froze up

Hello - What exactly is your concern? Are you trying to verify how to replace or repair the motor? Usually this type of information is not release to someone who is not a technician (or to a consumer) and it is very rare to find enough information to do it yourself. Typically this is something that you want a certified professional to install for you due to safety and liability reasons. They also usually warranty their labor just in case something else may turn out to be the root cause of your initial problem and it does work out better to your advantage. Consider contacting your manufacturer for more details on who in your area can properly install this part. (part usually have a 30 day warranty with tech). I would suggest contacting your manufacturer to provide you a listing of authorized technicians in your area whom may guide you through this process.

Dryer turns on then shuts off

Hello - The following could be reasons for your dryer to stop working; there could possibly be a malfunction in the thermostat in the return, so if it gets too hot on the auto dry cycle, it stops and will not re-start until it cools down. This could be caused by either lint or something else clogging the vent thus causing it to overheat. You should be able to feel the top of the dryer right at the back of the top near the console right after it shuts off. If it is getting too hot to the touch look to the items I have mentioned. Should you find that these suggestions are ineffective, may we suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately who will be able to diagnose the problem.

Hi Robert Burch - From what you have described the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the control panel. However, if the unit is not producing any heat please have a professional diagnose the heating element and the blower assembly as well. Either, or, could be faulty at this time. This is not a typical DIY job so please consult a professional.

Hi Jackie CaisseFire your repairman...Your problem is noisy rollers, or if you have the kind of dryer with the rear bearing, then check that for the noise, as it could be a faulty bearing. Here is some help for you if its the rollers******************************************************************ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRSYour problem sounds like the drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication.Note: This method works with most front loading machines. Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer if you have to.Note: Some tops hinge and tilt backwards so they do not have to be removed and the electrical console with stay with the lid. Also remove the lint filter and the screws holding the lint filter housing in place. Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.Remove the front of the dryer by removing two screws located on either side of the top of the dryer housing and unplug the door switch. This will expose the drum and belt. Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm pulley and motor. Now is a good time to replace the front felt seal on the drum if it needs to be replaced. Be sure to use a good grade of weatherproof cement on the seal to glue it to the drum, sometimes the glue is furnished with the seal. Now is also a good time to check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt.Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear they will make a thumping type of noise. If your drum rollers have too much wear on them replace them.If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them and are only squeeling then they probably only need lubrication. Remove the rollers and clean the shafts that the roller rolls on, remove any hair, dust, etc from roller and shaft.Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil, or a light lubricant like Vaseline. Reassemble the dryer.Plug back into your electrical receptical. This should solve your noise problem. Please take time to rate me Bud*************************************************************
