Frigidaire dryer duzzes when start button pressed or starts but stoppes after a few minutes

Good Afternoon Friend, I understand that your Frigidaire dryer, model# FDE336RES0, buzzes when the start button is pressed. I also see that it starts then stops after a few minutes. I suggest checking the cycle selector and making sure that it is not loose or has not come off. If this is not the case, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Just fitted a new belt to my dryer now it wont turn have checked for any loose wires

Are you sure you have the belt on correctly? When you start it does the motor run or try to run? Does it hum or buzz when trying to start? Take the belt off & start it see if the motor runs if it does check if drum, belt and idler pully are installed correctly. Check the drum rollers and drum glides be sure the drum turns ok. Be sure everything is installed correctly & turns OK . Are you getting power? Hard to tell what is wrong without much information about what is going on. You might check the front panel & see if it is binding on the drum not letting it turn. Hope there's something here that will help you.

Dryer runs a few min and then stops.pause in display,

Hi Keith, this is Z. I am happy to assist you! If you are receiving error code PAUSE, it commonly indicates that the door of your dryer is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume cycle. If these basic troubleshooting tips prove ineffective, try reprogramming your appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is good to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your dryer on. If the issue persists, then your dryer could possibly have a faulty door latch or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your appliance to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Best regards!

What does control mean?

Most likely solution is that the sensor inside the unit body (usually front left) is covered in lint dust and this would cause your control light indicating a fault, which is also the safety cutout to prevent damage. This sensor is at the entry of the hot air/dust outlet tube.

No power

Hi Lawrence, this is AP! Thank you for your post. I understand you are having trouble with your Frigidaire electric dryer. Without knowing the specific model number there are still some troubleshooting tips I can recommend. Make sure the dryer is plugged into the outlet, and plugged in correctly. Check to see if the house fuse is blown or circuit breaker tripped. If so, replace fuse or re-set circuit breaker. If your house uses fuses, there are two house fuses that supply voltage to the dryer circuit in your fuse box. If one of the two fuses is blown, the dryer may turn but will not heat. Check and replace fuse in fuse box if necessary. If the house has circuit breakers, there may be two breakers with switches that supply voltage to the dryer. Circuit requirements are individual 30 amp. branch circuit fused with 30 amp. time delay fuses or circuit breakers. Your dryer requires a power supply of 240 volts to operate. Make sure that the electrical circuit is not overloaded and correct. The dryer must be on a circuit by itself. Overloaded circuits can damage the dryer and possibly cause damage to home. If needed have a Licensed Electrician check to make sure it is on a circuit by itself. Lastly, the thermal limiter could have tripped or there is an internal problem with the dryer. A thermal limiter automatically turns off the motor (electric dryers only) in the unlikely event of an overheated situation. If this is the case I would recommend contacting an authorized service for repair as this is not a typical DIY project. Contacting an authorized technician can ensure no troubleshooting step has been missed. Parts are often costly and if the problem is precisely diagnosed, it can save you a lot of time and funds.
