Magellan Maestro 4350 GPS Receiver Questions & Answers
My Magellan 4350 is stuck
Hello,
problem is with the operating system (OS) of your Magellan 4350. The start-up files is corrupt that's why it is not booting and stays stuck on the start up screen. It can move any further because the files are affected.
Usually, performing an update helps to fix problems like this. The update helps to re-install the files on the unit. So after the update, it should boot normally again.
Follow the procedures on the below link in order to update your Magellan 4350:

I hope this helps to fix the problem.
Good luck.
Plug for power came unhooked.

assuming your car charger is working (the little green light is on) and
your magellan still wont start up after holding the power button while
its
plugged in for up to ten seconds and still does not start..read below
this
is actually a very common problem with these magellan power
ports...they are poor quality from the factory and always and i mean
always fail..the new ports that you find on ebay are 100% better then
the factory port.
if your able to replace that power port
yourself, you can get one HERE, if not, ask the fellow that
sells them for help.
due to some dubious "experts" on fixya, im
not permitted to help you directly, but please follow the link above to
get further help.

My GPS screen says "USB Connected" whenever the
your cord has a short in it. Try to fix it or buy another.
That happened with my Magellan last month when the silver square connector started coming out of the cord. Try pushing it back in, but they do short out there at the connector for some reason
While connected to my PC, the 4350 suddenly
I had the same problem.
when you plug the GPS in to the UBS of the computer it does not charge it, so if you were like me and didnt have a full charge and the battery runs out the computer will not "see"it.
When I go to back up my gps I make sure it has a full charge, that should do the trick!
Blue pixels inside my gps screen.
Shouldn't you be asking this of Magellan?
PS - I had the same problem and I'm on my 3rd unit under warranty right now with 6 months to go.
Blue dots ingrained within my gps face
Unit is defective - take it back or contact Magellan.
My original 4350 developed this problem (thousands of black or dark pixels on the face) after 3 months. They sent me a replacement unit that also had the same problem right out of the box - I let them have it with both barrels on that one. 3rd time was a charm when I got a clean unit. I suspect that they had a batch of LCD screens that had some contamination from the factory that made the screen that eventually caused the pixels to fail.
I`d like to use the mp3 on my GPS but don`t know
You need a standard SD digital memory card (not the newer HC high capacity cards as Magellan does not guarantee compatibility although I did get one to work that was a micro SD card with the full SD adapter). You will need to put your mp3 music files from your PC onto the SD card just as you would your mp3 player; insert the SD card into an SD slot on your computer, laptop or USB adapter and copy the files to the card. After files are saved, put the card into the slot on the right side of the Maestro and then refer to the User Manual (
http://www.magellangps.com/support/product.asp) page 64 to see how to play the music. You can play through radio speakers or by using headphones/ear buds with a USB connector.
How to back-up data in a Magellan Maestro 4350
yes, you need a sd card and you can get them at most computer stores, wally world(walmart) or any similar store.. you can also get them off sites like ebay.....
HERE....
the one i posted a link to is just an example but you can buy what ever you want.
to backup your data, just go to the options menu then the backup and restore tab.
just ask if you need further help!

Annoying Demo - Can it be deleted?
On the 4350, go to "Settings" than "Product Info". Bottom of screen you'll see a black touch box that says "Demo Mode". Hitting the button once, turns it on, hitting the button again will "Deactivate" the demo.
