unless it is oem, i have never seen a panasonic that needed a code.

it should be a reset button on the front of the unit take a pen and reset it and u will have to redo all ur settings

Hi

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)
To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .
quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS, BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
Also quote the make of the car.
note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

If not then try your Main Dealer for the code...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive.

contact customer support, theyll ask you a bunch of questions and walk you thru the process, and a lot of the newer radios are set up if bought new to require registration thru manufacturer,in the case of theft

You will have to call panasonic with the serial # to clear the code securty

i am the second owner and do not have the code anymore? there must be an override code or something?

You must connect SIDE BRAKE(Bright Green) leed
to ground.

bought car yesterday they changed the battery and now there is a code display that has the unit locked up

Happened to me to just turn it of, like take the front off and make sure your car has been running for a while and its not cold outside then turn it back on and put it in, mine works but when its cold out it wont till the car warms up. Pretty **** man

Definitly can be due to extreme cold weather. That's why I leave mine open! Try this, when the heat in the car gets warm inside, does it perform better?

Checked Panasonic's website for a remote, but part was not listed. You can call them at National Parts Center at 800-833-9626

I dont know if there is a way to reset it... Look up the manual for the CQVX100U on the internet, and see if there is a procedure... If not, contact Panasonic customer service 1-800-211-7262

For the manual.
An authorized dealer is required by service agreement to install this wire to the parking brake which creates a ground when applied. The shadetree installer, however can hook to ground anywhere on the vehicle. I would recommend to put it on a hidden switch,as it is illegal to have a video in view of the driver.... and you can turn it off quickly if/when pulled over!
