Mitsubishi WD-60735 Projection Television - Page 5 Questions & Answers
TV is warming up slowly
Based on model number indicated and fact it is not shutting down it most likely is the lamp reaching the end of its 2000 hour life.Original lamps from Mitsubishi last longer than "generic" ones that often have half the life and are not as bright.
My tv is dim
A few of these sets have two mirrors====can we please confirm what the actual model number of your set is?
No picture, only sound when i turned it on, and then it shuts off. there are no lights indicating anything
Unplug set first and wait--plug back and after set boots up see what happens.Remove next the lamp and examine to see if shattered inside.Another common issue is dirt.If the fans and interior are coated with dust the set will detect fans running too slow or air flow restricted and shut down.I have seen ones like this set where a good dusting with a air compressor (don't do it inside) and it will look like a dust storm.I have seen this cure everything from will not stay on to shut down in less than 1 hour.
Tv picture is shaking
best advice is wait and see and if it continues see if it does it with a DVD etc hooked up---rules a few things out---
Mitsubishi TV, WD 60735; TV shuts off shortly after powering up.
It could be but a couple of other possible reasons---they had problems with this set and its brothers with caps in the main power supply puffing up and causing this "hard to turn on" issue.A second reason is dust/dirt inside the unit. All air is coming in via the front of the set and exits the rear--enough dust gets inside and the fans slow down or the lamp gets too hot and set shuts down---don't try this in the house: we take them with back cover off outside the building (on a ramp) and with air clean them out completely--try not to blow it inside the screen. It looks like a dust storm in most cases but can cause exactly the problem you have.
I have water in between the two screen panels of my 60
If it is the Mitsubishi model listed here---not a do it yourself job==entire front frame with screens has to be removed and screens removed==dangerous and delicate as when removed easy to damage and the real problem is if separated when put back together dust or anything will with static electricity try to get between.I would at our shop hazard a guess this would exceed $150 if neither screen now has to be replaced but can be cleaned.
I replaced the lamp in my Mitsubishi but no picture and the lamp light keeps flashing
A few things here--if issue is same as before replaced the lamp new lamp could be bad(possible) but if different issue check to see the lamp went in correctly--very easy on these sets when insert the lamp cartridge to bend the two pins it goes into out of the way. Also, in my shop if we see a lot of dirt coming out grill in rear we take the set on a cart outside with the rear cover off and use a compressor to blow all the dust out of the set--it intakes air at front and there are at least three paths to the rear that can get blocked enough for this to happen as well as the 3 fans if dirty will do this also.Cleaning will cure a lot of problems with these and if does not fix at least you know it is not the problem.Check this similar answer:
