Hello there, I have the
Hi David,
If you were watching it prior to the outages each time then your lamp is definitely bad. As you may know, the lamp fan will run after you shut the set off during normal conditions. This cools down the lamp so it is not damaged. If the outages happened when you were watching it, this is very very detrimental to the life expectancy of the lamp and most of the time fatal the first time. The fans will not come on if you have the lamp door off the set. The set has a safety switch activated by the door being attached or off, so you must always have the door screwed back onto the set for the set to operate correctly providing nothing else is wrong. Is it possible with the black on the wall, might be from just the dust on the filter that blows the hot air out and that just accumulated on the wall. at this point I would unplug the set for 10 minutes and put the lamp door on then plug the set in and tun it on, listen for the ballast trying to start the lamp. This sound will be like an arcing sound, this is normal. Bottom line is,I would replace the Lamp.
My mitsubishi tv will not

Watching the TV heard a loud pop picture went
The first and most likely cause is that your lamp has blown. Simply remove it and inspect when they have blown its really easy to tell. Remove lamp door with a philips screw driver. The door is located I believe on the back of the set towards the right side. Once the lamp door is off there will be 1 maybe 2 screws holding the lamp assembly itself in place. Remove those then the housing should slide right out. The lamp number is 915B403001 for that model.. Good Luck!!!
After I turn the TV on it is turining its self
HELLO Ambrymad2, hi, the reason your tv is switching off by itself is the protection feature of the power supply board, it detects an over load on the TV. this could be the main circuit board or the power supply board.
How do we go about this:
Check first if its on warranty, if not you may need this serviced.
Now do you want this done by your self? I cannot guarantee the process, this you need to do,
1. need you to check the main board for unusual things, this needs that you disassemble the unit.
2. you can always replace the entire board and the power supply (but this is to costly). thats the only thing you can do.
3. if you cant find anything wrong, close the tv back and send it for service.

Back smells like its burning, what is this from?
ITS DUST IN YOUR BACK OF TV , TAKE BACK OFF MAKE SURE TV IS OFF, TAKE CAN OFF COMPRESSED AIR , GENTALLY TAKE LIGHT BULB OUT, IT ONLY HAS TWO SREWS PUT IT ON THE FLOOR CAREFULLY, DONT TOUCH THE BULB WITH YOUR HANDS OR FINGERS, THEN BLOW ALL THE DUST OUT OF THE LIGHT GEN AND BULB HOUSING PUT IT BACK TOGETHER THEN YOUR PROBLEM IS FIXED, WHAT YOU SMELL IS DEAD SKIN CELLS GETTING IN THE LAMP AREA AND HEATING UP AND BURNING , KEEP IT CLEAN BACK THERE , AND IT WILL KEEP OTHER THINGS FROM HAPPENING
Picture is very dark
its probably the lamp going bad. dark picture is a pre-cursor to failure. these lamps are supposed to last 2-4 years but for some reason the mitsubishi ones never do. you can replace the lamp yourself, and if it is going bad, you can cool it down, pull it out, and you will see it will look kind of bulged or white in the bulb part. instructions are in your user manual. if it is under a year old, mitsubishi should still cover it. if its just over a year, you can try to call them and complain and maybe they'll back it up. let me know if you need further assistance.

Power supply board just die.It can be
dead at anytimes.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power
supply board for the replacement.
Good luck..
I just change the lamp on this DLP TV worked fine
Not seeing the set it is hard to say, but a lot of times the pins in the adapters to the lamp become loose or do not sit properly. It sounds like it might not have been the lamp, but a power supply problem.
The volume goes up but the sound doesn't come out
