Sony BRAVIA® DAV-HDX576WF Theater System with Wireless Speakers - Page 4 Questions & Answers
I cannot get my front speaker wires to connect in
No enough info: does your system has spring clips or binding posts for speaker connection? Sometimes spring clips are not spring loaded, so you have to lift some type of clip, push wire in than lock the wire down. Can't see from the picture-is it Sony DAV system? If you're using too thick wire, that may pose the problem.
Playback is black and white
if this is b/w on the tv then you have a settings problem.
you need to check you connected the camcorder to the tb correctly, it should be yellow for video and red and white for audio, and you could try looking at the tv menus
if its the camcorder then check the cc monitor. and all the settings. Get anew dv tape and record something , check its colour then play it through the tv.
Ipod dock plugged it, switch to DMPORT no sound from speakers
I had the same problem. I tried everything and finally following two fixed the problem:
Dock insert has to be put before inserting Ipod in the dock. Dock insert usually comes with iPod when you buy it....After inserting the doc I was able to hear the sound but it was very faint. Then I updated the ipod's firmware. My Ipod classic was two years old. I updated the firmware by connecting it to the PC and opening itunes. Clicked on 'ipod' link and clicked to update button.
After the update, this ipod started working with my home theater system's DMPort.
HTH.
How to swich to TV
Should be an "input" or "source" selection on either the HTS or the TV. Need to change it to the one that you have the cable/satellite connected to.
Rear S-Air speakers cutting in and out
I read on another review that the HDMI cable is causing this problem because it is beside the S-Air transmitter on the main unit. I could not get my rear speakers to pair or work, and sure enough, when I removed the HDMI cable and hooked up the unit via Component Video to my Sony 52" XBR TV, the speakers paired and worked. When I plugged the HDMI cable in they did not work. I am going to try to purchase a higher-end, more expensive HDMI cable and see if that helps. The whole point of HDMI is for true blue ray 1080p pictures. Hope this helps.
S-Sir Sub Unit won't pair
In order to properly pair the units, verify that the channel switch on the back of the sub units are set to either A, B, or C. Then go into the setup menu and go to setup tab. You can then scroll down to system setup. Verify that the base unit is set to the same channel as your sub units A, B, or C. You then can choose the pairing operation. Have your sub units close to the base and on for this operation. They must be linked to have the pairing operation work. The pairing option will ask if you are ready to pair a sub unit. Select OK. You will then be instructed to begin pairing. Find the pairing button on the back of the sub unit and depress. Depending on the sub unit you may see a red light flash or the front display will say pairing. Once complete the menu screen on the TV will tell you that the pairing is complete and ask if you would like to do another unit. Continue if you have another unit or select OK to complete the process. Once you return to the system setup menu the channel indicator A, B or C will have the work pairing next to it (i.e A (pairing)). If you continue to have trouble you can change the RF channel on the system setup menu from AUTO to ON. Good Luck. CEB
No sound through Bravia speakers after BOSE removed.
Did you ever have audio through your tv before?
It's likely that your Comcast cable box was connected directly to your Bose system, and not your television.
You'll need to check the connections from your cable box, to your television.
No sound from TV thru sony bravia hdx576wf; DVD & CD audio ok.
Could be a sync calibration issue. Try to divert the TV sound to another input source on the Hometheatre system if possible, if it is a go then maybe the TV audio needs to be recalibrated. Make sure TV audio setup menu option has not changed also.
