The best way to do this is to run all hdmi cables from the source to the receiver (i.e. from the cable box to the receiver). Then run a single hdmi cable from the "out to tv" or "video/audio" out jack on the receiver to the television. Turn the tv on and select the input you put the hdmi cable in, then on the receiver select whatever you want to watch, i.e. cable.

Cooling Fan
The cooling fan supplies cool air to the unit to prevent overheating.
Please observe the following cautions for your safety.
Make sure the unit is well-ventilated. If the unit has poor ventilation, the temperature inside the unit may rise
and may damage it.
Do not obstruct the cooling fan or ventilation holes. (If the cooling fan or ventilation holes are covered with a
newspaper or cloth, heat may build up inside the unit and fire may result.)
So look at the fan and make sure it's turning. Pick out the dust balls. Give the system room to breath (Page 13: 4" clearance from the fan)

It takes a bit of force, but be careful. the back terminals are connected to the speakers by rather short lengths of wire. The other probable causes are that:
The amplifier's center channel has failed
The wire is shorted or frayed, or defected in some other way.
The speakers are broken. If this is the case, any speaker of 170 watts or lower will work, but it MUST be of 3 ohms impedance.

Have you turned the TV speakers off within your Audio setup and turned on you external speakers? Your 510 then becomes your speakers. Also eliminates potential for audio synch issues. This done mean you have to turn both the TV and Audio system on everytime you want to "TV" programs. Good luck.
Protect message
Protect mode will kicking whenever a fault is detected.
Causes that can start protect mode are:
Electrostatic harges on internal circuits.
Leave the unit unplugged for power for one hour or so, this will allow discharge.
Bad speaker wiring.
Check speaker wiring, try unplugging and plugging back, or start after removing one speaker at the time.
Internal fault.
Internal
fault is the natural cause for protect mode. If all the above did not
work, then the problem is a blown component or an internal fault. In

No sound thru surround sound system in TV Mode
Hi,
You need to connect your TV to the AUX connection in the back of your HT system. Then set your HT system on AUX 1 and wait about 5 seconds for the TV sound to come through. If it does not work on AUX 1, you may have to try on AUX 2 or AUX 3 settings on your HT system. Make sure the A/V cable you use is good and in working order and is a good quality cable.
Hope that helps, Gary
