How to adjust door viking dfsb423

Viking 42" built-in units usually don't offer any door adjustments. If one of the doors are not closing well, check for obstructions blocking the door bins, worn door gasket, and possible door warp-age on the panel ready models. Viking did have top hinge recalls updating to the new "Cobra" hinge on many of their models which can be verified by calling viking and providing your full model/serial numbers. If your Fridge door is lower than the freezer door you most likely have a worn door closer located on the lower hinge of the fridge door, the closer is a 2 piece plastic interlocking/mating unit which wears down over time from friction. This usually needs to be replaced. Pleazer Appliance...

Our freezer started defrosting. Sounds like the

Make sure all the fans and compressor is operating. If one is not then this is the problem...All fans must work inside and outside. If after you have verified this is not the problem UNPLUG THE UNIT and look at the freezer rear lower wall. You are looking for frost. If you find frost you will need to shut it off and open it up for 24 hours. Unscrew the lights so they don't stay on. The next day you are going to need to remove that panel with the frost on it to access the coils and defrost any remaining frost. Clipped onto the coils is a disc shaped object about the diameter of a quarter with 2 wires coming out of it. This is the defrost thermostat. If you have a meter you can verify that this part is good by allowing it to get very cold..(frosty) and then see if you can read through the 2 wires..get a reading cold its good,,,no reading cold,,,its bad. At the bottom of the coils is the defrost heater,,,look at it good if it looks ok then take the meter and see if you can get a reading through that. Same as the defrost thermostat except it does not need to be cold. Get a ohm reading its good. The last part is the defrost timer. I do not know where it is located on your unit it could be anywhere but I do know this. If the other 2 parts are good and you did have a lot of frost on your coils then this is the bad part. You will need to locate it and replace it.

Fan constantly running on top of viking refrigerator , vcbb363 bottm mount freezer

It sounds like there may be an issue with the fan or the control board in your Viking refrigerator. The constant running of the fan, even when the compressor is not running, is not normal. The fact that different repair technicians have given different diagnosis and the issue persist even after replacing the compressor fan motor, suggest that it may be a problem with the control board, which manages the refrigeration system, including the fan. It could also be a problem with the thermostat, or the system's settings. Since the fridge and freezer seem to be at normal temperatures, it may not be a problem with the cooling system. It's best to contact Viking customer service for further assistance and see if they can provide any additional information or troubleshooting steps. If the issue persist, it's best to ask for a senior technician or supervisor to take a look at it and provide a resolution.

How to replace ice maker signal arm

  1. Safety First: Before you begin, unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet to ensure your safety.
  2. Locate the Ice Maker: The ice maker is typically located in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator. It's usually mounted to the side or top of the freezer.
  3. Access the Ice Maker:
    • In some refrigerator models, you may need to remove the freezer's interior shelves or baskets to access the ice maker.
    • Others may have a cover or panel that needs to be removed to access the ice maker assembly.
  4. Identify the Signal Arm: The signal arm is a slender, plastic or metal arm that is connected to the ice maker assembly. It extends over the ice bin or tray.
  5. Remove the Old Signal Arm:
    • If the signal arm is attached with a screw, use a screwdriver to remove it.
    • If the signal arm is connected with a clip or latch, gently detach it by carefully pulling it off the pivot point. Some signal arms may have a small locking tab that needs to be released first.

Viking Built-In Refrigerator Not Sealing Intermittently

Check the door gasket for torn or broken attachment tabs. Gently go all the way around the door gasket, wiggling it to see if any part of it pulls out of place. If you find a build-up of dirt, mold, etc,. clean that off. If there is mold present, clean it with a borax solution. Also check the door frame on the refrigerator shell where the gasket is supposed to seal. If you see one area that is particularly dirty or signs of frequent condensation, double check the corresponding part of the gasket for defects. I'm hypothesizing that a broken section of the gasket sometimes rolls or moves sideways, thus preventing proper sealing. I have also had problems with the door staying closed if something in the freezer or refrigerator sticks out just enough to put outward pressure on the door (or a similar protrusion of items in the door racks). In that case, re-arrangement of the freezer contents should fix it.

Do you have to use Viking Wine fridge parts to fix a Viking Wine cooler?

Hi, I wouldn't pay upfront because the repairman doesn't know what the main problem is. You can first reach out to the product's manufacturer for recommended repair vendors. But if this fails, then you can call your nearest Lowe's or Home Depot for parts and repair assistance. Thank you.

Model DDSB483DSS 48-inch side by side. Why does the freezer door pop open when refrigerator door is opened or closed?

The freezer door may be misaligned from top to bottom, resulting in poor contact with the magnetic seal. Another possibility is that the hinges are defective or misaligned, allowing the door to pop open.

Viking Fridge VCBB536 defrost pan fills with water. Float has been replaced but not resolved problem

There are several issues that need to be checked. What mode is the deffroster set to? There are several modes to check. There is a heater coil under the pan to assist in evaporating the water from the condensation tray. If you are in a high humidity area the condensation could be from that. I have attached the service manual for that unit to this post. http://www.uncleharrywizard.com/NephewClub/wizardfrig/viking/viking-bottom-freezers/smr-0007---bottom-mount-536.pdf
