Viking hood Lights out

Part PE050033 no longer exists. It's now two parts: PE050141 for the light and PE050156 for the fan. You must first remove all of the small switches then pull off the front panel to tighten the small nuts that hold the new units in place.

Brand new Viking 3048SS hood - fan switch not working

think i would call viking back and ask for refund of inspection fee and go by the bad switch scenerio the electrician said new fan that would be considered flaws in workmanship in most states dont know where you are located but pretty much same anywhere most inspectors for these companies always try to blame problems off on installers hold your ground and make them fix it and refund that" inspection " fee I've been doing electrical work for several (20+) years it takes longer than 5 minutes to troubleshoot something like that good luck

Fan switch not work - Viking 3048SS brand new range hood

There is the on off switch and the blower control that controls the speed of the fan. It is more than likley the blower control that would need replaced.

There could also be a wire disconnected in the hood.

Vents in the Viking hood fall out on their own

Remove the filters.
The slot that the filters sit in at the rear edge, can be removed, it is basically hooked into place.

When you remove it you will see that the sides are different, reinstall it with the smaller edge hooked thus leaving the larger edge to hold the filters in place.

I hope this is clear.

Both lights went out

If the bulbs have been working for several hours, they may have merely reached the end of their lives and burned out. I would begin by replacing each bulb with a new one. good luck

Fan Switch

You need to take the unit down to access the switchs. The unit should be mounted to the top of the cabinet by wood screws or nuts/bolts that you'll need to remove. Before starting any project having to do with appliances, always remember to turn off the power to that appliance by switching off the circuit breaker in your house panel. Once you have removed the screws, the unit will lower and you will see the cover that you'll need to remove and it will expose the switches. Goos luck
