Hi, I have a motherboard
Most computer have at least 4 connection on the motherboard Just look in side at the one that is in there and hook up the other two the same way to the other connections with the power off of course.
The computer should find them automatically when you boot up.

No sound device detected in control panel, no
This is a generic issue with all Windows OS updates....many of the users are facing this issue....this issue began after an auto update from MS changed many IRQs of Win OS, mainly the Sound and Audio Control system of Windows.
1 - R U facing NO Audio / No Sound issue...?
2 - Is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - Is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?
If ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....as ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....
NOTE..THIS…IS…VERY..IMPORTANT...
No file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it…or giving any help on this.
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just doing FREE service to help everyone affected by this stupidity from Microsoft.
www.sureshayyar.110mb.com
visit my Support Page.
many of us are victim of this “stupid” update, my office has 24 PC/Notebooks and almost all of them got this issue one by one in 4 months time period, I head the tech dept here.
all the best...
Kindly leave a feedback/rating to this solution as it will help me understand if my solution worked

Error: unmountable memory
There is a good chance that you are trying to use the wrong type of memory with the board. Check with the manufacturer to make sure that it supports the type of RAM you are trying to make it use.

Extra wire /fan 3pin hole 1wire where to plug in X 2 fans
If your cpu fan has a 4 pin connector & your mb has a 3 pin you can still use it. Just leave one pin exposed. The extra pin is for a speed control sensor that not all mb's support. The chassis fan has a different connector on the board marked "cha fan". This one is a 3 pin connector. Most of the asus boards have 1 of these. If you wish to run more than one you can either buy a "y" adapter that allows you to connect 2 fans to 1, you could use an extra 4 pin molex to power an extra fan but that would give you no control over the fan, or you could buy a fan controller and hook all your extra fans to it. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate my solution fixya. Thanks.

One long beep at boot up
Hogshead, a few suggestions here, but would like some more info too; does the beep start as soon as you hit the power button, or does the computer boot up even though it's still beeping?
Is the beep one long continuous tone, or does it pitch up and down like a siren?
This could be a couple of scenarios; one is the RAM, which I'm not too sure it is, the other is the CPU which is more likely.
Now, with the memory, this mobo uses dual channel memory, which means 'both' sticks have to be identical and both have to be working and have to be in their paired slots. Make sure you memory is good (have it tested or test it yourself), make sure the memory is seated (in) properly and the contacts are clean, and make sure the memory is in its pair slot which I can't remember if it's slot1 and slot2 or slot1 and slot3 (try it).
Now, more likely it's the CPU (processor), make sure the processor is seated properly and no pins are bent or tarnished (oxidised). If the CPU is damaged there is no way to test that other than putting it in another machine or putting another CPU in yours - be aware that what ever damaged your CPU is at risk of damaging another you put in there.
I've got to cut this short, we'll tackle more as you get back to me.
Let me know what happens.

Display problam
- Make sure that the monitor is turned on and has power. Make sure
that the display's power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet,
and that it's properly connected to the power adapter. (To check if the
wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.)
- Check that all video cable connections to the computer video port and to the monitor are properly connected.
- Examine the pins on the video cable connector to make sure they are not bent or damaged in any way.
- Connect a known working display (if you have an extra one available). If you see video after doing so, replace your old display.
- Unplug the video cable and then turn on the monitor, check any message is showing in monitor if its shown means ur monitor is ok or else their is a problem in monitor..
- turn off the system and check the ram..
- Reset the computer...

How do I enhance my Asus PadFone X mini speaker loudness?
Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.
