Relay on the control board is shot. Replace relay or entire board.

Chech for power to the ouside contactor and for 28 volts to the contactor!

Is this a heat pump? Look in the thermostat. You should have something like the following.
Red wire to R terminal
Green wire to G terminal
Yellow wire to Y terminal
White wire to W or W1
Blue or Orange wire to the O or B terminal
Brown wire to C terminal.

Let me know what you have in the thermostat. The wire colors are not always the same.

You must have a bad connection from either the thermostat or inside unit. Check the wire going from the outside unit to the inside unit. Look for any in-line fuses or the fuse on the circuit board.

you probably have a defective contactor or start capacitor on condensing unit. if you pretty handy with wiring go to the condensing section open the panel. you should see a contactor (it's the little black piece with all the wires) check the condition of it. next to it is a capacitor and by the problem that you describe it could be that. check it if it looks bloated there's your problem just go an get an combination capacitor and wire up. You mean the evaporator has no condensate? Is the condensor hot? It sounds to be in need of servicing. The temp coming out of the evaporator should be 10 to 20 degrees cooler than the air in the room which is being blown through the evaporator to be cooled. No condensation, either low humidity or no refrigerant in system. You may need to call an a/c repair. Hi, when you have a little play from side to side just shows very little bearing wear on the blower motor. In and Out play is normal. Spin the wheel to see if it is true. If the blower wheel has a lot of dirt build up on the blades it will cause it to be out of balance.If it is clean, but warped, take it to a motor repair shop along with the model and serial numbers. Call you're local wholesale a/c parts house with all of your info and they will look this up for you.The numbers that you have listed shows you have a 042 which is a 31/2 ton and 048 which is a 4 ton unit. More then likely, the wheel is out of balance and should be replaced, and they can look up the info you are requesting. Good Luck,

Normally the Ignitor is easily removed with 1 screw....be careful its very brittle and obviousy turn the power off first...you likely will see a very small crack in the ignitor and a "Hot spot"...it may also be defective even though it's not cracked...the best thing to do is unplug the ignitor and recycle the furnace checking for 120 volts at the Ignitor shortly after the fan starts and before it stops...If you have 120 volts and the ignitor isn't lighting up then it's defective....if you have no power to the ignitor it is something else and requires more info...look for an error code (Lights flashing on the circuit board)

hey there, it seems you know a little about the troubleshootig. The first thing you need to do is see if the rela is trying to energize by checking for 24v accross the coil while it should be running. I am guessing that with a 1/8 hp this is the condenser fan motor (outside). If you are not getting 24v at the coil is your compressor coming on? You may have a safety switch with a manual reset (usually red button) on the piping under the fan motor or just a broken wire. If this is a heat pump and the relay is located on the circuit board and the compressor is coming on,chances are the board is bad. If you only have 2 stat wires coming into the unit, check for 24v on them wait for any time delays. If it is there and at the coil replace the relay. If the 24v is not outside at all, check iside or try different collor wires, one may be broken. If still no 24v, take the tstat off the wall, turn off both units to kill power, twist the wires from terminals G, Y and R together. This should bring it on. If this is the only way to bring it on, replace the tstat. Also, there may be a float switch in a condensate pan somewhere on the indoor unit. If the pan is filled with water, it will either kill the whole 24v circuit or just keep the outdoor from coming on. Let me know what you find

yes whats is happenening is theres a sequencer on the unit thats closed all the time on the low speed

It sounds like you might have a spark igniter on the unit that is being told to relight the burners. This is probably the tstat as this is the only control that "tells" the unit to come on. There isn't anything else internally that will cause this problem. Replace your tstat and I bet this solves your problem.

It means that the furnace isn't igniting and for safety the control board is preventing the gas valve from opening. Turn off the power to the furnace for a few seconds then observe what the furnace does in heat mode. Some furnaces will run the blower for a minute after you power it back up. After that see if the furnace tries to come on. If you are still getting the code then one of you high temp limit or roll out switches has tripped. Now is the time for a service tech. Make sure that you check you filter and air flow too. Low air flow means the furnace may be over heating.
The other thing is the hot surface igniter. Look closely at it with the power off. Do you see a white spot on the element or a crack. If so the HSI is bad. It's an easy replacement but DO NOT touch the carbon element with your fingers and be very careful handling it as it is EXTREMELY fragile.

Your compressor sounds like isn't working? And the problem is if we are lucky you just lost the capacitor. turn off the breaker to the ac/heat pump unit. Open the electrical panel on condenser locate the capacitor if it is swelled up like puffed up can then for sure it is bad. It has two sides to the capacitor one for the fan and one for the compressor. If you have a meter check it in ohms. If you don't have a meter take the capacitor to a heating and air conditioning parts house and get a new one just like the one you have very important to get right size. let me know how it turns out. ken

you probably purchased a 4 wire thermostat which we call heat/cool you stated you have 6 wires which signifies a heat pump you have to purcahase a heat pump thermostat and then write down the color of the wires to there related spots example...yellowe-y red-r white- w and so forth also before you do this kill the power the voltage typical for residential is only 24v's but if the wires touch you could blow a fuse
