Dimm Slots Not Numbered ?
The two closest to the cpu are DIMMs 1 and 2, The next pair are DIMMs 3 and 4 it is best to install in pairs, using slots 1 and 2 first.

Can't see SATA drive
HI,
Let me first make sure I understand what configuration you have here. You've installed a new SATA drive and installed Vista on that SATA drive on this new motherboard. Then your trying to add an additional SATA drive to the motherboard that has data on it, but no OS. Is this correct? The problem your having is that when you put the drive with the new installation of vista on it, along with the old drive both being SATA, the old drive doesn't appear in vista but it does in Bios?:
Ok, if I'm correct in your config here, I would hook the new drive to SATA 1 and the older drive to SATA 2, and in bios boot to SATA 1. When you boot to vista, go my computer and right click to manage. Under manage go to disk management. It should see both drives and their you can format the second drive. If it doesn't see it, then try another SATA port.
Let me know, since I'm not confident on my assumptions.
Thanks
Mark
Will this video card run my motherboard
Yes it will.
Here are the requirements needed to run it
PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
450 Watt or greater power supply with 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended (550 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode).
Your board has the Pci-ex16 slot and the Corsair has the power to run it.
I have audio playback through the HDMI connection
I do not know what you are hooking up or how, as you did not specify.
The D port on the back of your board is for stereo line-in signal, while the F port is for microphone in signal only.
This motherboard supports 8-channel audio devices
that correspond to the A, B, C, and E ports.
Note: B, C, and E ports provide users with both right and left channels individually.
Refer to the following for specific port function:
A: Center and woofer
B: Back surround
C: Side surround
E: Front out
The above definitions can be changed by changing the driver utility settings.
I cannot get the computer
Hi.
If you just assembled this system for the first time, you must boot the motherboard first with a minimal set of device, to test it , and then connect the rest.
I must warn you that if you played with PSU connectors or plugged/unplugged parts with power not disconnected you may have easily fried the main board.
Fans spinning, power to disk units, HD light and led on motherboard does not mean that the motherboard is good. This functions are often performed the same way when the motherboard is faulty.
Regarding the system, start the motherboard with a small set of devices.
Double check CPU. Remove heatsink and processor and put them back in place. Ensure CPU slot lever is closed if necessary.
Use just one memory stick. Ensure RAM is snapping correctly inside the slot.
Plug in the start button connector from chassis to motherboard.
Install display adapter if this is not integrated on board.
Connect a display to VGA port.
Finally connect PSU. both 4 pin and 21 pin connectors must be plugged.PSU power cord MUST be unplugged. Connecting PSU with power cord already plugged is a common mistake, and can damage the motherboard.
Do not connect disk units, PCI boards apart video if needed, optical units, connectors to other ports, card readers etc.
If the motherboard does not start, try again a couple of times.
If still no luck you may have damaged the motherboard.
Often you have to try the above a couple of times before it starts.
Regards.
