As you may know, heat pumps will not work in extreme cold outdoor ambience temp. It is why the aux heat is there as a supplement. 7 blinks indicates a furnace roll out switch problem. Lack of airflow, lack of combustion exhaust flow, switch fatigue, clog on air filters. The roll out switch senses fire overheating the heat exchanger box and if the temp exceeds the switch (thermal switch) operating temp, then the switch activates and stops the fire and triggers the alarm.

Turn breaker off for a minute and back on.

It appears that you have an internal short. If the unit is still under a warranty, then take it in for service.

Check the combustion chamber blower motor. When the motor bearings die, this can happen.

Sounds like you need to have the duct work cleaned by a professional.

Is your duct work in the concrete floor? If so check for water in the duct work. You can go to one of your supply grilles in the floor, take the grille up and look into the ductwork. If you have water, you need to find out if you have a plumbing leak or if it is just runoff from a hard rain. Nevertheless, it needs to be fixed.

Is your duct work in the ceiling? If so, and you still have mold, just have a professional duct cleaning company clean your duct work and it should solve your problem.

One other thing, make sure the condensate drain from your heater is not stopped up and dripping water into the duct work if the duct work is in the floor.

Locate and clean the Flame sensor with emory cloth or brand new dollar bill. You will be good to go. Do not use sand paper or harsh abrasives!

Try changing out your air filters if that don't work try cleaning evaporation coils. If that don't work get ahold of your local HVAC shop they will take care of it.

There should be a wiring schematic on a panel inside the unit. Otherwise search for a service manual, using the furnace model number. With some luck, perhaps wire colors are shown. Otherwise, trace them to their origin and label your drawing.

The numbers would suggest a 2 ton. 24,000 btu.

That is a 5 ton RTU

Should be either the indoor temp or outdoor temp sensor. Try cleaning the indoor air filter units.

Does the motor for the pump turn?

Turn the main power/ breaker off to outdoor unit for 1 minute. Resume power and retry. Stand near outdoor and allow a possible 3 minute delay. Problem likely to happen again but maybe this will give a clue. Maybe outdoor fan not running, machine is likely shutting down on a safety and by cycling the power you are resetting that safety.
