Turn on...makes clicking noise, nothing

The door lock mechanism is easy to replace. The fact that there are a hundred for sale on eBay tells you how often they break. If the door doesn't lock, it wont fill or do anything else.

GE Model WCVH6800 keeps pausing

It stumped me first time. You have to unplug it, plug it in, then press signal-delay-signal-delay with in 30 seconds. You don't push any othere buttons first. Then it will lock the door, spin the drum, and go into troubleshooting mode.

GE Washer model #wcvh6800j1ww stops in mid cycle

Try to clean the discharge pump filter first (Instructions on page 13 of the Use/Care manual). If the drain pump is working, it's most likely related to the pressure switch. Check out these postings: http://www.fixya.com/support/t9807344-ge_front_load_washer_stops_45_min_35_min http://www.fixya.com/support/t8933273-general_electirc_washer_model Do a diagnostic test -- Easy and free, and the machine will likely diagnose its own problem. Instructions in those postings. Post back any code you find and we'll go from there.

Hi we will start a

var searchHostDomain = 's.fixya.net'; var searchHost; if (searchHostDomain.indexOf("beta") != -1) searchHost = searchHostDomain + '/Handlers/Search'; else searchHost = searchHostDomain + '/HTTPHandlers/SearchAutoComplete'; I had a similar problem ... mine was related to a hole in the pressure switch hose (code E22). Inside the washer, there is a pressure switch that senses how full the tub is. It does so using air pressure at the bottom of the tub -- air hose gets "pushed on" by the filling water and causes the pressure to spike in the switch. If you develop a leak in the air hose, the pressure switch never gets flipped. A safety feature engages if the water runs for more that 8 minutes without the pressure switch flipping. E22 is one of the codes related to this event. Easy way to see if this is an issue is to run a diagnostic test.Check out this posting for how to run diagnostics: http://www.fixya.com/support/t9576766-found_small_partTest T02 will show you the most recently encountered codes. About elctical wiring discription

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
???
I'm so sorry but this forum is not able, nor in a position, to supply any type of manual, parts list, installation instructions, electrical or schematic diagrams direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained probably over many years.

Manual
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer service manual' and you may be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct BUT often they will supply only to registered agents ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Ge front loader leaks when filling

Leaks are probably going to come from one of 4 places:
  1. Door gasket: water should run down the face of the washer from the lowest point of the door.
  2. Water connectors: left rear of machine
  3. Soap drawer: water running down front of machine from the upper left-hand side
  4. Discharge pump and hoses: Right side.
Rear right would probably indicate a discharge hose leak. Front right would most likely be the discharge pump and/or connectors to it. Here's a diagram:

If you don't see any of the easily visible leaks (door, soap dispenser, connectors), try to
pop off the front access panel by removing the 3 bottom screws. Once removed try to determine where the leak is originating from...then we can troubleshoot more. If you find this advice helpful, please don't forget to rate me -- trying to get my Guru level so I can offer premium support

It seems to be going out of balance on small

The washer balance is mostly controlled by two factors:
  1. Balance of the appliance cabinet (shell)
  2. Suspension of the tub inside the cabinet.
As far as the cabinet is concerned, balance, level, and plumb are determined by the adjustable feet. Installers usually come in with a level and test the level (side to side parallel to ground) and plumb (front to back perpendicular to ground). Many times they overlook the corner to corner balance. I think corner to corner is more important than being plumb or level. Try adjusting.

If that doesn't solve your problem, you may want to check the tub suspension. There are shock absorbers beneath the tub that push in opposite directions to keep the tub balanced in the cabinet. You can access them by removing the front access panel (diagram below -- remove 3 screws and pull out from the bottom to let it fall down)

chris_in_ma_6.jpg
You will see the shock absorbers in plain view. Wiggle the tub around to see if one is any weaker than the others. If so, replace it.

My wcvh6800jmr - the liquid soap falls into the

This is most likely due to the soap drawer divider not pushed all the way down.

The divider is adjustable to handle different types of soap (see below). My guess is that it got lifted and is allowing liquid soap to spill underneath rather than being pushed through the hose. Try pressing down on it really hard or removing and readjusting.
