My fisher&paykel GWL15 leaks when filling.

.I am not a repair professional. I am a 78 year old man
who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. So the washer or dryer ID doesn't mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and found that more than 4,700 people were asking for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer repair of my own and at that time I found an excellent video which showed me how to take my machine apart. This video made it possible for me to do my own repair. If you are repairing a dryer or a front load washer I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good step by step trouble shooting and repair information on washers and dryers as well as other appliances. If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart this video is an early christmas present. I was so impressed with it that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about it. If you look at the back of your washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video is just what you need. You can see it at www.acmehowto.com You will probably still need help in determining what the trouble is and how to fix it. After viewing the video or if you have a v-belt drive rather than a direct drive, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good
trouble shooting and repair nformation on most
washers and dryers. I think you'll find what you need
there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever
go bad. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

Water leaks during final spin cycle only

Hi,
The first thing to do is get the machine up off the floor onto a base that allows you to slide under machine on your back with a flash light. Make sure whatever you decide to lift machine up onto is very stable and durable. Bricks, blocks, or a utility cart maybe. You need to look under machine to see where the leak is coming from. You want to make sure it is not going to fall on you. The machine is not that heavy, just awkward to lift or move because of it's size. So, you could slide something under each corner, one at a time, or ask a friend to help lift it onto a base. Now you are ready to go. Don't worry, this is really easy.
Get a towel, flashlight, and start machine on a small load with shortest cycle set.(probably delicate). After you start machine, slide under and and try to find where water is leaking from. The pump is going to be a plastic circular shape thing with ridges on outside. Probably dead front center and attached to motor. If water is leaking anywhere from plastic circle thing, then this is your problem. BUT, also follow all the black hoses that are under machine. Sometimes leak can be a cracked hose or loose attachment. That is real cheap and easy. The hoses are attached with metal ring deals. You take a pair of channel locks or big pliers and squeeze them to open. There are 2 or 3 hoses that attach to pump that will need to be removed if this is where leak is coming from. Then, the pump is only attached with metal clips that you pull out to release pump from motor. No tools needed. Take the pump to sears or local appliance shop and I guarantee they will have replacement.

Washer won't drain

Check the motor coupling to pump, see if it's torn up. If it looks ok try to spin it with your fingers. If the pump shaft will not turn, take the pump off and see if lint, rags, pocket change or something has it stalled.

During the final spin cycle, water is leaking inside the machine

You have a problem with the pressure switch cutting in too early before all of the water has drained away from the outer drum

There is either an obstruction in the outlet pipe or pump which is not allowing the water to discharge fast enough.

The machine is then spinning with too much water left in the outer drum added to the water which is being expelled from the clothes equals leaking

Take the hose off the back of the machine and put it in a sink , make sure it is secure and do a rinse cycle

Watch the outlet and make sure it is a strong flow if it is weak then you have probably got an item of clothing stuck in the pipe from the drum to the pump and a strip down is required

One more thing there is a small plastic bottle attached to the back of the outer drum this has tube which leads to the pressure switch

Make sure there is no congealed soap in the Air Bell as it is called

Fisher and Paykel top loader, throws up TOP FULL and won't wash. Just keeps filling then emptying a little water but won't wash.

First try a power reset. Remove the power plug over night. Press and hold the power button for 1 minute. Plug back in. Or, the water level sensor needs replacing. https://www.google.com/search?q=Fisher+and+Paykel+top+loader+TOP+FULL+and+won%27t+wash ..

My fisher paykel front loader is stuck on drum clean and when ever you press a button it just keeps beeping

Ignore most of these comments. The fix is simple, this machine does this to force you to run a drum clean. Simply hold the lock key button until it unlocks, then run a drum clean cycle.

Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive Pride 5.5 Top Load turns off?

That sounds indicative or either a failed controller board or bad connections on it. What you can try if you wish is getting to the control board and spraying all the connecters with electrical switch cleaner. For any board edge connectors remove the connector, spray the contacts on the board edge and polish the board edge contact strips with a piece of kitchen towel. If that doesn't fix it call for service and diagnosis as control boards are expensive, so you need not only a correct diagnoses but warranty on the part and the labour. The other possibility as an afterthought, as the drain blockage caused this, is the pump working okay? These machines have self test procedures on the pump, and if the pump doesn't pass, the machine shuts down. If the drain was blocked and the pump was running for an extending time, it may be heat stressed. That would be a much cheaper repair. Fisher Paykel IWL12 25" Top-Load Intuitive Eco Washer. Repeated bearing failures in Fisher Paykel IWL12 -- Any ideas?

Did he replace Bearings AND Seals. The seals protect the bearings from water damage and rusting. Apply lots of Water Pump Grease even if it is a supposedly sealed bearing. Also make sure they are genuine OEM bearings and not Chinese copies. This link shows two bearings and a seal. There is good advice at the bottom of the page. Not sure if for your model, but the advice is sound. https://partsdr.com/part/429565p-bearing-kit FWIW, front load washers are the way to go, except they take up a bit more footprint. They are far more Eco than any top loader. ..

Fisher and Paykel Top Loader washing machine model WA7060 suddenly won't turn on.

If you have already tried all the logical troubleshooting tips and the Fisher and Paykel Top Loader washing machine model WA7060 is still not turning on, there may be a few potential causes:
  1. Power supply issue: Check if the power outlet that the washing machine is connected to is working correctly. You can test the outlet with another appliance or device. If the outlet is not working, you may need to call an electrician to fix it.
  2. Control module or power board failure: If the power supply is not the issue, then there may be a problem with the control module or power board of the washing machine. In this case, it may need to be replaced or repaired by a qualified technician.
  3. Faulty power cord: The power cord may be damaged or faulty, causing the machine not to turn on. Check if the power cord is properly connected and if there are any signs of damage. If there are, replace the cord with a new one.
  4. Circuit breaker tripped: Check if the circuit breaker for the washing machine has tripped. If it has, reset the breaker and try turning the machine on again.
If you have already tried all these troubleshooting steps and the washing machine is still not turning on, it is best to contact a qualified technician to diagnose and fix the issue. They will have the tools and expertise to identify the root cause of the problem and recommend the best solution.
