Delonghi En 720 will not react when switching it on. Basic checkingis done, but what do I do next?
If you have checked the power switch and thermal fuses and they are functioning properly, the next step would be to check the power supply board. If the board is not providing power to the main control board, the machine will not turn on. Check for any visible signs of damage or burn marks on the power supply board. You can also use a multimeter to check if the board is providing the correct voltage to the main control board. If the power supply board is faulty, you may need to replace it. If the power supply board is functioning correctly, then the issue may be with the main control board or the display board. In that case, it may be best to consult a professional technician for further assistance.
How do I solve this noisy failure on my delonghi coffee machine?
Try going back to basics to eliminate the obvious and silly stuff. How old is the machine? Coffee machine do get old and wear out. Is there water in the built in supply tank? Yes, I've made that mistake! Is there Coffee in the hopper? Has the waste hopper been emptied? When was it last put through a 'Descale' cycle? If you have removed parts to clean it have they all been refitted correctly?
If there is a serious issue most of these types of machine need to be looked at by a specialist repairer as they will have the correct tools and knowledge to fix the issue.
A lot of automated coffee machine only have a short lifespan of about 5 years especially if they are used regularly every day. Regular descaling and cleaning can extend this but the machines do eventually wear out and need replacing.
I replaced the water sensor and the magnet is flooding properly in my Delonghi Magnifica XS, but the fill tank light is not litnihg ON when the water level is low. What can be the problem?
If you have already replaced the water sensor and the magnet is functioning properly, there are a few other potential causes for the fill tank light not turning on when the water level is low in your Delonghi Magnifica XS.
- Faulty sensor connection: Check that the sensor connection is clean and connected properly. Make sure there are no bent pins and that it is seated correctly in its socket.
- Faulty control board: The issue may be with the control board, which could be preventing the fill tank light from turning on even when the water level is low. You may need to replace the control board to fix this issue.
- Faulty wiring: Check the wiring for any signs of wear or damage. If you find any, you may need to replace the wiring to fix the issue.
If you have tried these steps and the fill tank light still doesn't turn on, you may want to contact a professional technician for further diagnosis and repair.

Well they aren't meant to run upside down :>D
The best way to empty the hopper is with a vacuum cleaner. It you want to reuse the beans, put the leg of clean pantyhose over the vacuum hose and let the leg get sucked in whilst holding the rest right at the nozzle end with tape or an elastic band. All the switches and the wiring loom should be fixed in place. See if you can find the switch or sensor that records the tank is in place and give it a tap. The particular machine is full of problems and we see them posted here at least three times a week..
